How'd they get to over half the population? Is it because illegals flooded in or because non-Hispanics fled?

Prince William County kicked them out so they migrated to MoCo.

That was a while ago though wasn't it? I would think the majority of the Hispanics in MCPS were born here and thus not illegal so not like ICE can round them up and deport them.

No kidding, all these male college students raping. When is someone going to force police to actually do something?

If there were 5 rapes reported in ONE college town in one week, I would hope some politicians or County/City officials would come forward and express concern. Maybe discuss what they could do to ameliorate the situation? Wouldn’t you?

Five different alleged rapists in one week. Do you not see this as a problem?

There were 500 rapes in MoCo last year... that is 10 a week.

Do you not see this as a problem?

Sure. One that can be solved in part by deporting criminals before they get an opportunity to rape women and children.

So you only want to find the rapists who aren’t documented? Guess the vast majority will get a free pass. Not surprising given the Brett K supporters.

It’s amazing how “deport illegal immigrant criminals” has become a controversial proposition. In a sane world, it would be viewed as a sensible first step, reducing risk and allowing the police to focus on other criminals.

Right?

On what planet has this become controversial? Both parties should be behind this completely and totally. Most citizens should be behind this completely and totally.

I am truly trying to understand where the support is coming for politicians who do NOT support deporting illegal immigrant criminals. Where is the money coming from that continues to support such insane policy? The wealthy in MoCo must really, really be benefiting from allowing illegal immigrant criminals to flourish in the county. Not sure what other sane reason there is for this nonsense.

Agree 100%. It's only controversial to crazy leftists and socialists who want to import votes for their cause (if not allowing illegals to vote outright, counting on the kids they'll have who will end up becoming citizens because of birthright citizenship).

This bs needs to stop.

Crazy leftist socialist here! I am fine with deporting undocumented people who commit violent crimes. I was also fine with that approach under the Obama administration. What I don't like is the demonizing of all undocumented immigrants, or all immigrants. What I don't like is using the idea of "violent illegal criminals" to jump to bs statements like "half of all MCPS students are illegals." And I REALLY don't like faux outrage over (<10% of) rapes just to further this anti-immigrant hysteria. THAT'S the bs that needs to stop.

This x 1000000000000000000000

The PPs on here using these horrible crimes as a way to demonize all immigrants are awful, awful people.
Anyone who commits a crime should be prosecuted for it. If the criminal is an illegal immigrant, fine, deport them.
But stop using these cases to demonize lots of other people who don't deserve it.

No one is demonizing all immigrants. Most people have zero issues with LEGAL immigrants.

it's intellectual dishonesty on leftists to consider illegal and legal immigrants the same.

An illegal immigrant needs to be reported. Period. Full stop. They already committed a crime by coming here in the first place and are likely at least committing identity fraud.

Radio silence. Not a word. Not a single word.

Why would they comment on these few rapes vs the hundreds of others? Why are you minimizing those rapes?

Because there have been SO MANY in such a short period of time.

If there five rapes at a college in a week, wouldn’t you want some leaders to comment?

You think there hasn’t been 4 rapes in a week before?

This is the PP to whom you speak.

They just don't get there are 500 rapes a year mostly by white men.
prove that. I follow crime stories in this entire area and that’s not what I’ve found to be the case

If they were rapes of tweens, definitely. Are you so callous that an 11 yo getting raped illicit a red herring response. These were children. All rapes are awful but the rape of children is absolutely going to cause outrage

Not true. It's not a crime to come here and not everyone who comes here sneaks in unlawfully.
More illegal immigration stems from visa overstays than illegal border crossings.

Overstating your visa is also illegal.

Either way, the person is staying here illegally.

Can you provide a link for that assertion? Are you saying there were 500 raped last year, and the majority of rapists were White men? Doesn’t seem true to me. Especially not in MoCo.

I think you are the poster who is full of sh1t.

No don't brush it off...
IT'S NOT A CRIME TO COME HERE.
Learn it and understand it and stop equating illegal immigrants with stereotypes of people sneaking into the country in the back of trucks.

if twilight zone weren’t so PC now they’d do a story about folks like you who winds up getting killed by an illegal alien drunk driver as the ironic end to your enabling them

Yeah started a little over 10 years ago. But this isnt a recent problem with MoCo they've been dealing with it for a while. The schools have been downhill since.

I lived in Arlington for 14 years. Other than Carl diener, every murder victim was black or Hispanic and every murderer was black or Hispanic .

It is illegal to be here without permission. The remedy is deportation. As it should be.

Nope. All should be investigated and taken to trial is appropriate. Do you only want to let illegal immigrant rapists get a free pass?

No, I think we should be trying to prevent ALL rapes, not just a handful. Where is the outrage for the hundreds of other rapes? Why aren’t they worthy of your outrage?
