In any case, if her recollection is that she felt preyed on, I respect that. It took me a long time to come to grips with the power differential in several relationships I was in earlier in my life. As a newly independent 18yo, I wanted to be very grown up. The men I ran around with were mostly too old for me (mid-20s) and in retrospect, their interest does feel creepy. Doesn’t mean I wasn’t all in at the time. Just means that as I’ve aged and my views have evolved, I understand that it was inappropriate on their end.

PP thank you for putting into words what has been running through my head since the me too movement began. Too many older men making moves! I too never committed or dated them but hung out, didn't have sex with them and thought we were friends. Once they escalated, I was out. Thankfully, my situations never resulted in assault.

Even if she was, an actor doing something in a movie doesn’t mean they have done, will do or even want to do that thing. It’s acting.

None of my friends in college dated or where interested in dating men in their 30s. I certainly wasn't interested in dating men who were much closer to my fathers age.
