What things do you still use from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s?

My daughter uses my original Caboodle. We just saw that they are making a come back, only now they are more cheaply made.

Plenty of stuff around my kitchen - China, silverware, knives, some mixing bowls, stemware, a meat grinder ( the all metal non-electrical kind). That stuff will outlive me.
I also have a small collection of vintage MCM furniture and vintage purses that I carry regularly. I also own two coats from the 1960s that I wear from time to time.

LL Bean down sleeping bag
Lots of kitchen stuff (pots and pans, good knives -- I use cast iron pans that belonged to my great grandmother)
Golf clubs
Maglite flashlight
Sorel boots
Fountain pens
Hairdryers (I even have a couple of small travel hair dryers, because back in the day, not all hotels provided them)
Leather Briefcase
Alarm clock (it's in the guest room now, I use my iPhone as a bedside clock)

I have lodge skillets from my inlaws. I don't think those things ever go bad.

If they've been treated properly, they get better with age!

shampoo
towels
toilet tissue
water
toothbrushes
toothpaste

- 1991 Volvo 240, still going strong at 300k miles. Mostly used for short local trips and weekends to the beach and mountains, but at least once a year we'll take it on a 1k+ mile road trip. Has never broke down or left me stranded.

- Our dining room chairs are Knoll Cesca chairs made in Italy in the 1970's. To some they're painfully dated but comfortable as all out and superbly well made. https://www.knoll.com/product/cesca-chair-with-arms

- Tons of other assorted midcentury furniture and lighting, probably 50% or so of the stuff in our house.

- "Made in West Germany" Braun small appliances from the 1980's (coffee maker, hand blender, juicer)

- A ton of Le Creuset, largely in "poop brown"

- Our furnace Ok this one I am planning to update in the next year or so.

Cuisinart, 90s

Boom box, 80s

Cast iron skillets, pyrex cookware, fire king casserole dish, and other kitchen stuff from the 50s-90s.

Whole set of Portmeirion dishes from the 90s that are slowly getting replaced as I break them.

2 bikes from the 90s

A jansport backpack from the 90s.

Sewing machine, 80s

Quality US made towels from the 90s, although they are starting to show their age now.

I was born in the early 70s, I just like older stuff because it does tend to last longer and sometimes is less expensive to purchase secondhand.

I still use my Jansport backpack I used in college in the late 80s!

Or maybe they just invested in quality products.

Cassette/CD player

Sewing machine (nothing beats an American made, all metal parts sewing machine.)

YES!!! While I do have a new-to-me Viking Designer I and 1+, they are the last machines Viking made in Sweden. But my slant-shank 501 Singer and Featherweight are so SO good.

I also have knitting machines made in the 80s and 90s

I deal in vintage items, so there is SO much I use from the past, from kitchenware to clothing.

I have 2 basic turtlenecks from Benetton that are older than my 21 year old - they look brand new and I still layer them under jackets.
