You should be very embarrassed. |
Yes, you have a guaranteed job for next five years that start paying from $75k. A lot of recent graduates with bachelor degrees and school loans are in much worse position. And after five years, if you choose not to stay, you have a great resume with the management experience in it. |
Right, and you can also get deployed to someplace like Iraq if a president like Bush gets a wild hair up his ass that we need to invade another country for no good reason - and you might have to kill people or get killed. Let's not forget that part. |
Actually ma’am, I have gone to an academy and one of my children have as well. I also work closely with three of the main foreign policy think tanks here in WDC who have studied this matter of domestic unity and patriotism. National service can be military or federal. The point is to understand the populace first hand and the an extended civics class. Something lacking in today’s test asked k-12. The only one stereotyping here is you of me. But you also demonstrate another point: What to do with uniformed U.S. populace with a selfish or bad attitude and underappreciate of america and history. |

Right and these these students certainly aren't being groomed to think outside the box. A couple of my son's HS friends are seriously considering USNA and they are great students and very good athletes (and good kids!). But also very rote and a bit lost beyond the classroom and the playing field. Give them a checklist (run for student council president, check! Make varsity basketball as a freshman, check!) and they'll achieve it. But outside of that these particular kids have needed Mom and Dad's prodding and direction. |

go there so you can goose step to trump? lol. yeah, pass!
Kids who go there actively support american imperial ambitions and the status quo. |
But nobody is dumber than a socialist or communist. They can't even recognize failure / absorb history or factor in human nature. |
You wish. Come over to Brookings for some events and get informed. meet some grads as well. |
| Yes, of course they are, with the possible exception of the Air Force Academy. |
