I'm critical of it. If you want your sandwich to feel like processed meat mush in your mouth why not just skip the middleman and buy a can of devilled ham or spam? You're not going to be able to tell the difference from that nasty shaved meat that turns into a paste as soon as you chew it. Really processed lunch meat in general is gross. Not from a "oh noes chemicals!" standpoint, just from a "why would anyone enjoy slices of oversalted homogenous loaf" standpoint. Thick chunks roasted turkey breast? Oh yeah. A nice sliced rare roast beef? Absolutely. Spiral cut ham? Pile it up! Salt-solution injected tube-formed byproduct? No thanks. |
