yawn what about middle school..... yeah thought so

So, moving the goal posts? I don't have experience with middle school yet.

you are so naive do some research everyone leaves DCPS in late elementary unless they get lucky with charters or they are in the Wilson pyramid. The middle school options are terrible

PP, what your posts and actions say about you is that you don't tolerate alternative views and are stuck on your own propaganda. Get your head out of the sand!

Show me solid numbers of UMC or higher populations that keep their kids in public schools EOTP after elementary school. Answer almost noone does. I'm done here I'm not arguing with idiots.

You keep repeating that as if it was a logical argument. Tell me something else interesting about yourself.

NP here. You are totally right. Everyone, including me, loves our IB EoTP school for PK3 and PK4. But all of the similar families we know (UMC black, white and hispanic) keep doing lottery. We just don't have a critical mass of high performing kids or their parents resources to turn the school around through 4 grade. The middle school options EoTP are a non-starter. McFarland is going to be hobbled for decades. And I would say that UMC black families are even less likely to give the DCPS elementary schools a try.

Not everyone. I haven't lotteried since PK3. Still here at 2nd.

The problem is, not everyone can pick up and move to the burbs for middle school, and not everyone will get into Deal and Hardy. What then?

By that point most people have enough equity built in combined with a higher income that they can move to the suburbs, or people have moved out of the DC area entirely.

DCPS is already over 75% FARMS if you sub out Wilson pyramid and the elementary schools that number goes above 90% which means the vast majority of even Middle Class people are not enrolling in DCPS beyond elementary.

Then we might find that a school like MacFarland can actually teach our kids. I've got a few years before that. Check in then. I'm sure you'll still be trolling DCUM.

Gopod luck. Cap Hill has been trying for 2 decades to crate a Deal like school on the Hill and their feeders are 20 times stronger than EoTP.

And if I’d be ok with a Stuart-Hobson like middle school, then?
