I agree she seems unhappy. Being stalked by your psycho ex will do that to a person. Remember how fun she used to be with Jill? I used to love her too. I don't hate her now the way some clearly do and I have sympathy for her situation, but I agree she's not much fun to watch.

She should take a break from the spotlight.

Last season, Dorinda didn't invite Sonja to the Berkshires for a group trip. Sonja was pissed. At the reunion, Sonja and others did say Dorinda did coke. (Not sure that's what they are currently fighting about, but ok.) Over the summer (so following the reunion and before they started filming this new season), Sonja trashed Dorinda in online forums (not clear what forums), to other people, and in the press. Dorinda was pissed. Cue Dorinda chewing Sonja out at Ramona's dinner party.

Dorinda RAGES at people when she's in a fight with them. She's done it the past three seasons. Last reunion they brought up her habit. Sure, Sonja trash talked her. But Dorinda going nuts is fueled by her habit.

She's a deeply troubled person. She needs a team of therapists and a pharmacy to get her issues under control.

Bethenney was always nasty. She always made viscous comments about the others behind their back. But fame made her a monster. The little filter she had went by the wayside as her business took off and she got her owns shows.

PP you are responding to. I thought she was funny and charming back in the day. They all make comments behind each other's backs. It's their job and without it there would be no show.

I don't hate her, just dislike the way her entertainment value has gone down as her private life woes have gone up. I don't condone the behavior of her ex, but it kinda feels like she put it into her contract that she'd get millions to act out genuine anxiety and aggression in any way she wanted. The way she went from screaming rage to crying fits last season felt like watching obscenity.

I'm not Bethenny's biggest fan, but if they did a poll about who became the biggest success because of the Housewives shows, she would win running away.

I'd look at it another way.....who was a self made success BEFORE the series? As far as I can tell it is only Betheny. The rest did a nice job of marrying. That's why I always cut her some slack......and don't forget while the rest of these bimbos are day drinking, she's actually working.

Did she? Not her terrible talk show. And I attribute her spinoff to the fact that she's a Bravo insider now and wants more airtime, so they paired her with Frederick who isn't as universally reviled, so he can prop her up. And her bitchness may be a draw depending on their chemistry.

Bethenny Ever After. 3 seasons. Was popular. And RHONY ratings were in the shitter and her return got them back up. I get it that some people don't like her but obviously some people DO want to watch her on television.

That was long ago and clearly not that popular; didn't even remember it. And it was a Bethenny of another era, when she still had some appeal and people were interested in her life.

Look, I'd be hypocritical to say I didn't watch the shows for some of the dirt – dishing and snarky behavior. The women are vapid and shallow, but it can be interesting and amusing to watch their lives, even if it's just for schadenfreude. But Bethenny takes it to another level. It's not fun watching a deeply troubled person lash out at others and take no responsibility for her actions, AND have no comeuppance or "justice" come of it. She's got an in with Bravo now as a producer so she gets special treatment.

You have just described most of the cast of every housewife show.

Your ax to grind specifically with Bethenny is odd. What justice is she supposed to serve exactly? Is she supposed to go to Housewives prison?

Amazing logic. You don't remember it, so it wasn't popular. Her show was on as recently as 5 years ago. Her return to RHONY was less than 3 years ago. You must be a Jason PR plant.
