As some mentioned, I didn’t like being tall growing up. But definitely an advantage playing sports. I come from a tall family. Boys were shorter than me and felt jealous of the “tiny-cute” girls.
Now I love it, proud of it! Feel confident. My husband is the same hight, my son is tall. Probably because of my gene! |
But if you are short, 15-20 lbs over Is decidedly chubby. |
Man hands |
It is. But no one screams when a chubby short lady walks into a public bathroom. A 6', 250 lb woman is chubby, and scares the crap out of people. |
Fair enough. |
I am a male 6’2” prefer a woman to be between 5’10” and 6’1” and wear heels between 4” and 6” and for hugs and kissing it seems to work out beautifully. |
Actually, this is a plus for me (being tall and large) in the DC area. Much less apt to be targeted by criminals or given crap by tiny women. |
What a weird thread, and apparently it's been resurrected again and again for years?
I'm 5'7" and wouldn't want to be any shorter. I was able to model in my early 20s, but just barely -- the agency wouldn't consider anyone under 5'7". So I was "short" in that world, and got nothing but weird catalog work and the occasional car show/promotional stuff. If I could wave a magic wand and be any height, I would want to be 5'9" or so. |
Honestly I am a reasonably tall guy 6’2” and have been with many tall/taller women and only one gal that I can remember was happy with her height and wanted to even be taller and would constantly wear 6” heels and would also asked if I minded being shorter and honestly I loved the fact she would have to bend down for hugs and kisses, I bought her a pair of like 8” or 9” platform shoes but we did agree that was a bit much especially were I came up to her. |
I'm only 5'3.5" and I hate it. I'd love to be 5'6" or 5'7". But I've got to say that if the choice was 5'0" or 6'0" I'd have to go shorter. |
I'm 5'11" and my DH is 6'6".
I love being tall. My kids are freakishly tall which causes some issues. |
5’9 and love it. Didn’t when I was growing up and the was tallest kid in elementary. I also was chubby until high school so looked extra big and football player like so was made fun of a lot. After puberty I had a glow up and never looked back. Had to be treated for scoliosis in 6th grade but now I enjoy being tall. |
It’s mostly a good thing but not overwhelmingly. Probably 65% good, weighted to adulthood. |
I am a reasonably tall guy 6’2” and am totally turned on when a woman towers over me.
My present significant other is a magnificent 6’6” I have no problem when she wears heels and I don’t think feel for moment that i’m creepy, just feel very fortunate that this fabulous woman takes no issue and yes her fingers are a bit longer, however we both have a shoe size 12 and she has no problem lowering herself to hug and kiss me when we are standing and loves putting her arms on top of my shoulders and seems to take all the looks and comments in stride as I do. |
I don’t know what the average is, but I don’t think of 5’ 8” as tall. I’d say tall for a woman starts at 5’ 10”. |
