Oakton - 7
Just FYI, I'm going to have to stop taking requests in a minute. Congrats to this year's NMSFs and have a great holiday weekend! |
Can you tell us where you are getting your counts from? The announcements have almost always come a little later in September, not before Labor Day. Makes me a little skeptical. |
maryland is smarter than va. Maryland is in the class of NJ, MA, NY, CA, CT when it comes to education. Imagine if MD, NY, NJ, CT transplants didn't move to VA - it would be scoring below 210, like Wyoming or Wisconsin. |
| I am waiting for "but we are #1" post by TJ parents. 3...2...1... |
| Thank you to the person who posted the tallies and the specific questions. You dont know how you change the moments in the life of people with such simple acts. Be always blessed. Have a great weekend, |

The supposed official cutoffs have been posted on CC. They are:
DC 225 MD 222 VA 222 DC and NJ just set a new cutoff record for the country. MD and Virginia are tied as the fifth highest cutoffs in the country this year. |
| DC doesn't set any records wrt the PSAT. Its cut-off is tied to the highest state cut-off. So the DC number has nothing to do with how well students in DC schools (a category that includes MD and VA kids in DC privates) did on the PSAT. |
| What about the Baltimore county public schools? |
That VA number doesn't look right. Seems high. |
OK, very last one Carver Arts - 1 Catonsville - 1 Perry Hall - 1 Hereford - 1 Parkville ctr for Math - 1 Dulaney - 12 Towson - 6 |
| Nothing official from the school but my child would be one of the 16 from Sidwell with a 229. Not Asian. I have no idea who the others are. |
Congrats to your DC.
|
| That 16 from Sidwell is very high compared to the other DC privates. I wonder if they had a great yield for the Class of 2016 with many people wanting to be classmates with the First Daughter. |
Hi Michelle/Barack!
|
Is she class of 16? I wonder if she made the cut. |
