Does sidwell normally 3x-4x-5x the tally on other top privates in dc? That's a level playing field to compare. Are there a LOT more asians at sidwell than other privates?

These are tallies for 2016. Numbers do seem low for the private schools in DC and Baltimore.

Here are some Howard County numbers
River Hill - 15
Atholton - 12
Long Reach - 3
Wilde Lake - 1
Centennial - 15
Mount Hebron - 2
Glenelg - 2
Poolesville - 13

Poolesville is a MCPS school

So, VA kids are the dumbest?

Last year GDS had 11 semifinalists, StA 8, Gonzaga 6, Sidwell 6, NCS 4. These are very small numbers so they swing pretty widely year over year. It is a very poor measure of the quality of the schools. They are all exceptional schools. And, no there is not a preponderance of Asians at any of the schools.

Probably a few of the 41 Blair kids are CAP. I'm guessing my magnet kid made it with a 224; he's magnet but Blair is our home school.

As demonstrated by my Poolesville inclusion, I don't really know what schools are in Howard County. If you're interested in a particular school I am happy to tell you the tally - just let me know which one

It's amazing actually. 41/100 of the Blair magnet kids and 41/100 of the Richard Montgomery IB kids- wow! Take that TJ! 41 percent of the kids at TJ are not NMSF and that is with the MCPS kids needing HIGHER scores to get it due to the higher cutoff. So sick of hearing TJ is number one and MCPS magnet kids have to attend a low SES school.

Does anyone have a number of NMSF's for Oakton HS in Virginia?

Reservoir - 1
Don't see any from Hammond
