Teen Mom 2

It was very brief, without much set-up or context. Leah was at his house sitting on the couch with her baby niece on her lap. Her brother was talking to Leah, and she was nodding off, then she'd come to for a few seconds and mumble. It was clearly from drugs of some sort ("the nods" in drug talk).

Also someone off camera came and took the baby from Leah because she was not capable of holding her. The brothers expression the whole time was WTF?!

Yeah, I was wondering why her brother didn't take the baby sooner.

In the 9/3 episode, Chelsea's kid was shown playing with a remote control car, so that was something fun.

Leah never checked into rehab, shocker.

Javi needs to realize that Jo and Kaitlyn will be talking until their kid turns 18 and graduates high school. He needs to accept that.

It seems like these fake, awkward conversations occur more often. Maybe the cameras are not as around as much as they used to be so the producer has to set up these "conversations." I remember in the first season or two that the cameras were around all of the time.

Yeah, I wish she realized that she took what was supposed to be a fun afternoon for him playing soccer and made it miserable. So WHAT if he was dancing on the field? He was HAPPY.

It is my sincere hope that Kail watched that footage the other night and thought "OMG, is that what I look like? I will never behave like that again!" (Only in hip Kailspeak). I found out early in my kids' sports "careers" that I am one of those parents that get very excited and into the event. I didn't even realize I was doing it until my spouse told me and showed me a clip with my voice in the background yelling during the game. Thankfully it was nothing negative, but I sincerely did not realize I was so over the top. I had to make a conscious effort to change and rein myself in. Hopefully Kail will do the same.

Buuuuuuuut... she probably won't.

She said on Twitter she did not watch the episode.

Shocker, Kail doesn't want to see the truth of how she really is.

I wonder if the other girls watch the episodes as well.

Kail and Chelsea generally tweet along with the show. I think it was a one off for Kail not to watch. She's behaved worse and has responded to comments as the show airs. Jenelle will tweet up a storm before the show airs but then doesn't seem to watch, usually claiming she fell asleep. Leah used to tweet along with the show but doesn't seem to this season. Wonder why...

Will you please stop calling her Kail? You people act like you know her.

It's what she calls herself...

and hopefully longer. When it comes to that family, something good I can say is that at least they try to be friendly with Jo and his GF. I can't stand seeing how Chelsea and her ex act toward each other right in front of their kid. I would at least put on a fake smile and say hello. It must be so awkward for their daughter, not that she knows it because this is all she's ever known. She probably doesn't even know that parents are supposed to talk and be friendly.

Nobody on the show calls her Kailyn. Kind of like if a Jessica is always called Jess. She pretty exclusively goes by Kail.

Exactly.....he will probably get married someday, graduate college, have kids, etc.

Why can't they film the moms doing fun, wholesome, educational activities with their kids? They can't film what doesn't happen. The moms do it so they film it and that's what they get. These are girls who became moms at 16/17 and most now have at least one more by the age of 22. They aren't going to behave like actual responsible adult parents. Their prefrontal cortexes are still forming while they're in charge of raising 1-3 kids.

I don't think it works that way. The producers set up all of these visits with friends, and then tell the friends what questions to ask, to make it seem like they're having an organic conversation. Think about all the scenes with Adam talking to that skeevy friend of his. The conversation is always so stilted (as are most of the scenes involving the dads and their friends). I mean, I think about all the lunches I have with friends and rarely are they so very specifically focused on one of my life problems.

They show soccer games, and occasionally other outings.

Yep. This is exactly what they do. If you watched Teen Mom OG, they actually showed how the producers do this. They'll say "ask about so and so or x, y, and z" and sometimes the moms or dads will say "no, I don't want to talk about that." One time in Teen Mom OG, Maci's child's father (I can't remember his name right now) actually ripped his mic off and went off and left because the producers kept prodding him to discuss things that he didn't want to.
