Kathleen McNutt, a very popular choice with alumni, faculty, staff and students.

She’s been a principal in the diocese for years. It will interesting to see if the current leadership stays in place.

The principal at St Louis?

Yes, from St. Louis. She will be a great addition to the school.

Very sad to hear that Fr. Bresnahan is leaving. He was such an asset, and the kids adored him. Hope the new priest has as much personality

Ron Umbeck retiring after teaching since the school opened 51 years ago. It would be nice if the school named something at the school after him. A brilliant man with a long history of service.

I think there is a classroom named for him and when I was there he was put in the faculty hall of fame. He retired before, I suspect he will still be visiting. I saw on the Facebook that he was honored for coaching the Academic team. I agree he is special!

Graduation was today and it was an excellent, reverent and lovely event in DC. I am proud to be a part of the cardinal family.

Those are impressive schools- what is the morale like at bI these days? Faculty like being there?

What is Head of School vs. Principle? Faculty should answer to Mrs. Battle. Interesting that oConnell is loosing their head too. JPG is getting first head of school next year.

I live in the BI neighborhood and I find it interesting that the school has NO INTEREST in addressing the problems they create for the neighborhood. We deal with overflow parking on the streets, careless teen drivers, “romantic interludes” that expose too much flesh to passing elementary kiddos and more. Hoping the renovation gets these off our streets.

Head of School = fundraising and alumni
Principal = students, academics and faculty

It’s a high school (with limited parking) tucked into a neighborhood. What do you expect?

There are three impressive schools. The list is mediocre otherwise

The list is good and similar to every other high school in the area, including the private Catholics (Gonzaga and Visitation). Good job graduates!
