YUP. And most here will tell you this isn't so. Everyone prep, but for different reasons, it all depends what value an individual assigned to particular assignment. And since we all want everyone to value the same thing we value at the level, we get jealous if they're invest more time and are become better it. People will get jealous if you have a better marriage than they do because you've invested better and picked a better partner. We prepped for: war, sport, test, travel, marriage, receiving guest, performance at any level. Let's say you had natural ability for singing, it still takes a LOT of prep to become really great. Others who are not really good, or has no natural talent still benefits from prepping, and reaps the benefits, Britney Spears comes to mind to name a few. We are a nation of preppers. |
| I get your drift. I agree. |
Or, the child who is in the highly-sought-after program because of prepping, but needs constant tutoring to keep up. When the teacher requires all writing and projects to be done in class, the prepped child slows down the class because he's accustomed to a lot of extra help to get his homework done. Yes, that sounds like a prepped kid. |
| Oh you mean the 'gifted nonreader and writer' in my daughter's class? Apparently he is gifted at listening and talking but illiterate with an Iep. Cannot wait to see where he goes to college and what job he gets. Lol |
| Sock puppeting TIGER mom and child prep specialist switching lanes! |
It is possible that he might be 2E. Gifted IQ with dyslexia and dysgraphia. It is not unheard of. |
|
Maybe, but if he never learns to read and write, would you want him as your doctor? your lawyer? your tax specialist? Are there colleges for kids who can't read or write?
I suspect he's just not very bright and his parents are very pushy. ONly in America would that be a thing . . . |
|
Well, is he in AAP? If yes, he must have a qualified IQ. If not in AAP, then what is the harm in the parents being pushy? He needs to learn something eventually, right?
I dont know how old your daughter is. Hopefully still very young. |
I suspect you're very ignorant of LD's like dyslexia which can make reading and writing torture even for a brilliant kid. Please take your ignorance somewhere else and thank your lucky stars you don't have a kid with issues like that. |
