You're a hypocrite for being derisive of the posters you quote for what they think is one possible explanation, when what they think happened is just as likely as what you think happened at this point. There is no proof either way and I hope that the press conference at 3pm sheds some light as to what they have that prompted the charges.

Yes. It is possible he JUST killed her accidentally [b]while he was raping her... like the PP said. What is scary is that THAT POSTER DOES NOT THINK THAT IS BAD. It's not like he planned to kill her. Hey ... sherlock... that is still 1st degree murder.

No one is saying "that is not bad!" OMG. We can imagine a situation where one is reckless and self-absorbed and sexually forceful and yet not intended for the girl to die. Especially in a situation where the girl is inebriated, a guy (yes, a very bad guy who deserves to go to jail for a long time) might think he can get away with raping a girl (with no intent to kill her). We don't accept this as an excuse. But some of us can see where this guy might have been extremely reckless and it ended up killing her, but maybe he didn't intend to kill her. It makes a lot of sense to me....and if it's supported by the evidence, I want to see him suffer in jail for a very long time.

Anyone else planning on live streaming the press conference? Hopefully they release some of the evidence or give a meaningful update. The Charlottesville investigators have been in Texas since this morning so hopefully they were able to talk to JM too.

so the fact that they have charged him with abduction and INTENT to defile - does that mean they only have evidence that he took her? they have no evidence that he raped her and/or killed her?

It means that they have evidence to meet the probable cause burden to be able to charge him. What that evidence is they have not said and this press conference hasn't revealed anything knew because they won't reveal anything about what they have or don't have.
