Many of us inherited ours.

This. Too bad if you didn't.

I have a question, perhaps another post. Is there a reputable furrier in the area for repairs?

Embarrassed for you.

+. Raised poorly.

Are all of the fur lovers in their 70s? That would make sense that they don't know any better.

Touche!

I am one of the anti-fur posters and I'm mid-forties. Fur coats look awful. I've always thought they look terrible.

+1
I always presume the wearer is not intelligent.

Born, raised and still live on NYC for a large part of the year. Little old ladies wearing maybe wearing fur. Tourists might be wearin fur. But not us.

Hillar* please describe "us". I am born, raised, and top-3 private school educated in Manhattan and, yes, we do wear fur. It may be glam, it may be ironic, it may be warm, but we have, hold, and do rock it.

Your post is cringe-inducing.

You are wrong. Fur is in. In, in, in. Since, like, 2012/2013 and more popular each year. Do you live under a rock?

+1!! I love to ride in my Escalade to Tyson's and rock my fur. All ya'll haters are just jealous.

Really? Just curious why? The average price would be $5k-$10K. How many un-intelligent people can spend that much money on winter jacket? I know that money doesn't equals brain, but still, it will take some brain to make that money.

People here give you the stink eye because they think you're a Russian hooker.

I've never seen a stink eye and I wear mine regular. Just walked in Tyson's Square mall. Yes people do look at you, but I've never seen any disapproval . Two people complemented it in the mall.

Well yeah no one is going to go up to you and say "excuse me, are you a Russian hooker?"

I will be delightful if anyone ask me that: aren't they all gorgeous?

I saw a young lady (in her 20s) last week at the Tysons movie theatre in a tiny chinchilla jacket. Was so cute!

It doesn't take much intelligence to inherit it.

That said, on a day like today, if I had a fur, I would wear it.

Do you presume that all those people inherited it? I worked my ass for my first coat. I know a family in NYC, first generation Korean immigrants. The mom has now like 10 fur coats, but they worked so hard all their life to come where they are.

Ha! Have you been outside the last couple of days???

Warm and gorgeous!

Totally! Warmest thing possible in single digit weather! Warm, elegant, and beautiful!

I would say wasting money on 10 fur coats if you have worked hard for the money is proof-positive of lack of intelligence.

Why on earth would I be jealous of something I find hideous.

No, sweetheart, we just think you're disgusting.
