What is the most offensive bumper sticker you've ever seen?

DC himself was so proud that slapped the "honors student" sticker on my car before I knew about it. I feel like ripping it off would send the wrong message. So when you see me driving around, understand this....

You have given me a totally new perspective on the honors student stickers. Up until now, I've considered them ridiculous. Your kid putting it on the car himself because he was proud-- that is awesome!

+1. I never considered that a kid would have done that either.

Ok if you are not a Christian -- not studying the Word in Spirit and in Truth -- then I would guess that you are not qualified to interpret Scripture.
By the way, the Scriptures you quoted do not mean we are not allowed or that it is sinful to have material possessions.
They mean material possessions should not have US.
We are to "...Seek ye first the Kingdom .."
And it is ridiculous to assume that someone who drives what YOU consider to be a luxury vehicle is not a "good" Christian or is not being 'charitable'.
You have no idea what you are talking about.
>>>>>>>>>>>

LOL well that's convenient. Only Christians are qualified to interpret scripture?
Are only Muslims qualified to pronounce learned opinions on the Koran?
Are only Buddists qualified to study and pronounce opinions on the life and words of the Buddah?

I was a Christian for over 20 years so I do know what I am talking about. And if you really believe your faith, then good luck explaining to God when you get to heaven how you drove a BMW past the homeless, cold, miserable person on the street corner every day.

Doesn't mean one has to be a complete ascetic. But neither should they indulge in opulence. It takes a shit ton of cognitive dissonance to have a BMW, and put a cross on your rearview mirror.

1) You sound angry

2) Sorry, Christianity did not work out for you

3) Yes, I would find it difficult to "believe" the opinion of someone who is not a Christian.
Religion is based on relationship, and in Christianity it involves Holy Spirit revelation, if you don't have that relationship, then you don't have the same understanding and wisdom regarding the scripture

4) You more than free to believe as you wish (not being snarky) but I do not interpret the Scripture to say that Christians cannot have anything because others do not, we are blessed to be a blessing. That does not mean no one gets to have anything because others do not have the same thing. There are those who would seem to be charitable and frugal and hold evil in their heart. Your interpretation of those scriptures is rather cursory and off-base.

You are so far off-base that it is ridiculous
I guess you don't have a home because others are homeless?
Would you like to point out the other items we Christians are not allowed to have according to you?

Your conscience is yours to deal with. The fact that you seem to be unable to think or respond without massive polarizations, suggests you probably have some things to reconcile.

HUH?
You said you cannot drive past a homeless person driving a BMW, how is my analogy now a 'massive polarization'???
How is that different??
I am asking a serious question?
By the way, I am quite comfortable with my conscious.
I am lead by the Holy Spirit and endeavour to grow in that each day.
I am not lead by DCUM.

There are DCUMers that just HATE luxury vehicles and, by transference, their owners. You can't reason with them.

I drive a BMW and have a cross in my car as I am an Orthodox Christian. I think your comment is completely smug and self-righteous and if I didn't know any better I'd say you wrote it to be sarcastic.

But by the way, have you seen Joel Osteen's house lately?

Hope this helps.

In the US, there are approximately 66M Catholics and just under 3M Muslims. So, you castigate the Muslims with large families, but you give a pass to the Catholics with large families....okay.

You either have a really bad problem with proportions or you just look for ways to justify your bigotry.

I always find it amusing that Christians, in particular, religiously conservative Christians, think that it is their right and their duty to impose their Christian values on the entire nation and yet when when others try to disagree with their values of accuse them of hypocrisy, they are quick to throw something like this out.

When you start to lobby that the Christian Right should "worry about themselves, not others" then we'll give you a little more leeway, but otherwise, you are just piling on with the hypocrisy.

..hmmmm exactly who on this thread has claimed to be a "religiously conservative Christian"?
I consider myself to be Christian, but do not identify with the far-right other than a belief in Jesus Christ.
By the way I am not the pp whose comment you bolded.

SomI think it was likely to be offensive, even though I didnt totally get it.

Sounds like the driver at least had a smidge of a sense of humor.

Blah blah blah religion ruins everything, including this thread.

Fantastic. Can we assume when the crew on Fox (I'm just guessing that's your preferred news channel) repeatedly offers their interpretations of the Quran, you email or call in protect, because of course those good Christians shouldn't be interpreting another's religious texts?

You don't? Why not?

Mine, too.

I find all bumper stickers to be self-indulgent, without exception. Do you really need the entire world to know that your kid is an honors student at Whitman, that you voted for Romney (or Obama), or that you love cats (or dogs, or Jesus)? Do you think anyone cares??

I am a Woman don't agree with everything every other woman says. Your ideas are rather fantastical.

Funniest ones I've seen
