Top Ten Preschools?

In my children's well-regarded DC private they each have children in their class who went to (to name a few) NCRC, St John's, CCBC, Mt Sinai, St Columba's, many of the Montessoris, Metropolitan, somewhere in another state, and no preschool at all. You would never be able to identify the child with the preschool or even with the lack of preschool by 1st or 2nd grade. In K the ones who went to preschool are more socially adept but that is about it. This is all terrific angst about something that really does not matter in the long run. Seriously.

Signed,
A mom who's children did go to one the preschools everyone on this thread seems to accept is one of "the best" but who is really certain that its doesnt matter all that much.

Oh. I just read through this thread. I am just going to be positive and believe we chose the right spot for our daughter. Thanks.

This post is a little old. Is this "ranking" still the case? We're beginning to look for preschools (DC or close-in moco) this fall. Appreciate any insights.

I don't know much about Children's House or Palisades Community Preschool. I'd probably add CCBC to this list. A lot of people seem happy with Metropolitan Methodist as well.

Based on this thread, it looks like NCRC and St. John's are most frequently recognized as the two best preschools in the city. Does anyone have a sense for acceptance rates and exmissions for these schools?

Or, there are a few parents from these schools that post constantly. We have a DC in one of the above mentioned schools and whenever there is a school funcition I can't help but look around and think whose who from DCUM.
