I don't know the numbers, but I believe there are kids from St. John's going to Sidwell, Beauvoir, Maret, Sheridan, WIS, and St. Patrick's this year.

Thank you PP. How about NCRC and Little Folks?

Can anyone recommend a pre-schools in/near Bowie, MD or Upper Marlboro, MD? Thanks.

St. John's is interesting, but so hard to get into anyway. What about NCRC or Little Friends exmissions? Anyone have the scoop for this year?

My three children attended Spring Valley Montessori. Terrific program that has grown through the years.
It was a fantastic and nurturing environment for my children. Each of them were early readers and writers.
Now they attend River School and St. Patricks..
I can confidently say....they were very well prepared. SVMA has graduates go to all different schools including public, NPS, and Beauvoir.

Was that sarcastic? If so, you need to quote, so we know to whom you are directing your wit.

I have been at Turtle Park when Spring Valley shows up. They have minimal supervision over the children. I was pretty shocked.

I have heard many complaints about Little Folks mostly having to do with the director.

I don't even want to post something because it keeps this topic number one. I feel a lot of negative energy from moms putting down one school after another. Almost to the point of being rude. It just gets tiring after a while. I am sure someone will have some "comment" for me too and that's just fine.

I'm not sure why people get so bent out of shape about this topic. The same 10-15 schools continuously get posted.

It's the same way some people put down certain colleges. I don't know how many times I've heard about harvard grade inflation.

In fact, if you read through the archives you can read about how SVM lost a young child at turtle park last summer

Could anyone explain more about St. John's? My child was waitlisted and I felt badly about it. We have chosen another preschool in Georgetown.
