Do you display photos of your kids in your own home?

I think this also applies to Facebook. I find displaying too many pictures of yourself as really odd and show offy.

LOVE your sense of humor!

If it's your house, can't you put up whatever you want, wherever you want?

Sorry, I can't help but comment that $1,000 is not much for "wall art." It certainly doesn't show that someone is upper class.

You are the only one who thinks this way. Everyone else who posts on DCUM looking for a custom photographer wants to spend no more than $300 on the whole shebang, not just the wall art.

I'm not the PP you responded to, BTW

I was referring to "wall art" -- paintings, etc. -- not the photography session. I supposed I wouldn't spend $1,000 on a family photograph, but $1,000 is what you would expect to pay for an emerging artist's work and much cheaper than you would expect a wealthy person to pay for art by established artists.

Oh, well I'm pretty sure the PP you quoted was talking about photographs as wall art, so your reply wasn't relevant to what s/he was saying, then.

I know, PP. I took it back. I didn't mean to be rude, either.

Really odd and show offy? Just because someone posts something you don't have to look at it.

Glad you're not my friend!

This is a nation of vulgarians. The old money stayed back in the old country.
Hence the huge TVs etc.

But don't worry about it. We sometimes find your brashness quite refreshing.
