I’m a Californian and I don’t trust our vote counting process at all. It’s absurd. And I’m a lifelong Democrat, albeit one who is going to register independent soon. I expect Raman will win, and I do not think it will be an honest win. Probably ballot harvesting, and likely fraudulent. |
mmmkay |
What a pathetic process. |
Do you understand anything about scale? |
It's more than that. Every ballot has to be cured. Signatures checked against voter registration etc This stuff takes time to be done right. And a lot of Californians wait till the very last minute to vote by mail...crazy but they do. So it takes time for those ballots to arrive. We've gone through this every election since Trump lost. When things aren't going their way it is always fraud to Republicans...when they win it's legit |
|
So, it just so happens that people who voted in person greatly preferred Pratt to Raman, but then people who voted by mail suddenly have a drastically opposite voting pattern? Explain that. |
I think you are misrepresenting what is happening but let's take you at face value. It would make sense that the Republicans who think mail in ballots are fraud would go in person. I mean you've made the argument yourself or people like you have |
WTF? You are crazy. |
Great to hear that Democrats think all elections are legit. |
| So sad, CA makes America look like a 3rd world country with respect to vote counting. |
Stepson is the suspect. |
How so? The Electoral Count Act gives states 45 days to certify their votes and have their Electors cast their votes for POTUS/VP. Why are you so mad about California certify elections in 30 days? This is NORMAL. Maybe you should ask if Florida is cutting corners by certifying so quickly. |
California has been like this forever, since way before Trump lost. It was unclear how big the blue wave in 2018 was for a month while they counted up the votes for the house seats in California. |
30 days? Ridiculous! |
|
Mail in voting is slower because of signature matching. Most people vote by mail in California because it's easy and nobody wants to drive to their polling place which is always out of the way. Also, mail service is generally slow because it relies on manual human power in a place where it is always hot. People get physically tired in the heat. Also, the state requires counties to accept late ballots and handle provisional ballots in a certain way.
So there are just lots of factors that make California very slow to count all the ballots. But they do get counted eventually. |
