That's a bullshit answer. LA has fewer than 4 million people. Florida has over 23 million and they manage to have state wide elections counted and decided the same day. The problem with California is that they 1) send ballots to everyone - some people still live there, some do not. They have not managed their voter rolls. 2) They allow a full week after the election day for them to be returned. Insanity. They receive their ballots nearly a month before election day. 3) they allow voters to "cure" their ballots if there is an issue. The election process in CA leaves people wondering about the integrity of the vote and the vote count. And, for good reason. |
