Feed me Seymour. |
| I always throw it away. I'm scared I'll clog the plumping and then have something even grosser to deal with. |
| OMG before I read this thread, I was convinced noone is flushing. For me tossing was an environment - friendly way to dispose, similar to recycling. Maybe I will start flushing at work too! |
|
OP here - Wow - cannot believe my old thread was revived!
I'm still a flusher, will always be. |
|
What is wrong with you people? You didn't realize that tampons are intended to be disposed of in the TRASH?!? Isn't this covered in Tampons 101?
I used to work in a restaurant and we constantly had to call the plumber to fix clogged toilets all the time thanks to women flushing their tampons down the toilet. The plumbers called them "sewer rats." |
|
Aha!!! Old thread, but we at last have an answer to this debate.

Really? Cut it out. It's been three years and there's a lot more info about how hard this stuff is on sewage systems. |
| Omg people don't flush anything expect tp. |
I've used a diva cup for 5 years. So great. |
|
I'm glad someone posted the WP article - this thread is what I thought of when I saw the article!
Suck it up and deal with your tampons the responsible way, not like squeamish teenagers. |
|
the problem is the aging infrastructure - not the wipe and tampon flushers.
Im sorry but I am not going to toss a shit-laden wipe into the trash - not gonna do it - wouldn't be prudent.... |
I use a diva cup, but not exclusively. I don't like it on my heaviest day, but on the medium/lighter days I can put it in and leave it there all day...which is awesome. |
I'm sorry, but this is ridiculously dumb. How about you live in the real world, complete with its aging infrastructure? Flushing your poopy wipes is not going to make the infrastructure better. Get real! |
| The flushers are at least keeping plumbers in business. Good for the economy. |
|
My workplace had numerous problems with the plumbing system, and finally said that we were not to flush tampons anymore, because that was what was causing the problems.
