My kid was going through that and yesterday got a surprise EA acceptance earlier than expected. So, we’re a bit more at ease now while awaiting the ED announcement next week. Fingers crossed that you all will have good news soon!

DD applied to all, but one school EA so she is effectively done. ED school is a reach, particularly from her very competitive high school. Naviance shows that kids with her stats have been admitted, but not many. Also, no way to know if the admits were athletes or some other priority group as opposed to just normal students. She is definitely not in the all green “feeling good” zone. I will be sad for her if she does not get admitted. I think the school and the program are such a great fit. Keeping all fingers and toes crossed. If she does not get in, we will all dust ourselves off and move forward. She already has some acceptances, which helps. She will likely apply to one more school RD and then wait to see where the chips fall. So, so hoping to be done with all of this in a few weeks! Good luck to everyone!

What are some schools that drop surprise EA acceptances? My DC is still waiting for her acceptance. I thought Indiana would be out by now.

NP here. I'm sure this is on no one's radar but Seton Hall notified my kid 12/1 and their published date is 12/30.

Also probably not on most people’s radars but mine heard from Sarah Lawrence College yesterday.

Acceptance?

When did your kid submit their application?

Good grief. You have the patience of a toddler. ED decisions come out super early as it is. I'm glad I don't live at your house. Are you the type who puts up Christmas decorations weeks before Thanksgiving?

Why do we have so many Karens in our society? This board is for parents to vent. Weirdo.

Use of the term “Karen” is very racist!

DC is surprisingly very unstressed about it. (Or is just good at hiding it?) I think it’s helping that they’ve already gotten one rolling acceptance and two likely letters, one with a ton of merit.

Meant to add I’m secretly hoping DC doesn’t get into their ED school. I think the SLAC with merit offer is a better fit. We would, of course, be very happy for DC if they get into their top choice but also relieved there are good alternative options.

Which schools are sending likely letters? I heard W&M does.

For DC it was a SLAC and a midsized private. Both applied EA.

What does it mean if you don't get a likely letter? You're on the track for rejection?
