No, he said the flight is too long.

good. No bad vibes needed, and that is all he brings while in attendance.

I don't understand all the vitriol around Bad Bunny and the Latin theme singing in Spanish. Bad Bunny was an add on in the 2020 SuperBowl and I don't recall any vitriol. Also, Shakira and JLO conducted their entire performance primarily in Spanish and it was a wonderful show. The audience was all in

Also isn't Cardi B dating Stefon Diggs of the Patriots? So she will be there anyway (she was at the last game).

What is the meltdown over specifically? Trying to understand. Many watchers and fans aren't country music fans but don't mind country artists performing for a super bowl halftime show which is like what...just 10 minutes? Same can be said of those who are aren't rap fans or other genres.

He is BROWN.

He doesn’t sing in ENGLISH.

He is not a real AMERICAN.

HE WEARS DRESSES!!!!!

- Yours truly, MAGA

Apart from the dresses part, the same could be said for several past acts.

Bad Bunny is a very proud Puerto Rican and a serious generational talent. He has acted in huge projects, including a movie with Brad Pitt and a role in Narcos, which was the most popular show on Netflix for a minute. His music is catchy and very successful in terms of reviews, streaming, and ticket sales. His album abbreviated as DtMF (Debi Tirar Mas Fotos), is a different thing entirely. It’s critically acclaimed, it contains tracks honoring the whole of Puerto Rican Caribbean musical history and traditions, it sold like crazy, his concert tickets and the series on and off of the island of Puerto Rico were phenoms, and superstars are fans of his music, which is increasingly political, increasingly addresses the fifth-class citizen treatment of the island and of Puerto Ricans on the mainland, and is defiant. He’s confident, and seems to genuinely not GAF when morons critique him. He survived a Kardashian romance (Kendall) with no blowback.

He’s got skills and self-esteem and that is mighty, what’s the word, triggering, for a stratum of losers. Oh well!

Gurl, you know you are funny with the bolded line. LOL

Gawd, they cannot stop trotting out Kid Rock -- who had like one hit decades ago -- as the standard bearer for MAGA rock. It's so pathetic.
I like Bad Bunny, both his music and his personality, but I see that the MAGA opposition to him is more than just his skin color or accent. (So while I agree MAGA is racist, this is about more than that.) He is unapologetically ideological, and not in a way that jives well with MAGA world view. He's like a Latino Springsteen -- very talented, his tunes are really catchy, he cares a lot about people and his community, and he views his art as a way to serve his community and make people think a little bit.

Kid Rock is practically a senior citizen and he was never that popular. MAGA can enjoy their alternative halftime show.

I mean how and who is airing this alternate universe during the superbowl. Not any major networks for sure.

The halftime show has been subpar for a few years.

+1 Kendrick Lamar was awful!

No, actually in my opinion, he was very good.

That was before the MAGA truly went insane in Trump 2.0. Now we have a President posting that black people are apes, and half the country doesn't even blink.

Apple Music is the sponsor of the halftime show. They have a vested interest and putting someone on stage who rakes in streaming numbers and that person is Bad Bunny. You might not like him but there is no denying his popularity. The NFL is also trying to go global and Bad Bunny has international appeal.

Both can be true. The past two years have sucked.

No. No it has not. I quite enjoyed the performances. To each his own. Superbowl is not going back to Tanya Tucker, Clint Black, Shania Twain performances. Get over it.

Mags already whined " but he isn't American." Geography and US history are not mags' friends.

Not to mention the list actual foreigners playing the Super Bowl is long.

Coldplay, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney etc etc

Sure, but all of their songs were sung in the official language of the U.S.

Congress has never designated an official language of the USA. And do you know that Spanish was spoken in the USA before English was spoken here. That's trivia.

I guess you're right. I forgot my timeline when I posted the earlier post.

He was excellent. PP just didn't understand anything about his performance.

No one cared then and *most* don't care now where she or BB or anyone is from. Give a memorable performance. Done.

He may want to skip especially with the boos he and Vance received at the Olympics. Likely won’t stop him though. Flying around spending others tax money.
