The high schoolers taking AP classes are completely done in early May.

Can we just get a calendar that gives the Federal Holidays; a few days at the end of each quarter, 5 days for Thanksgiving, 1 week (not 2+) for Christmas and 1 week for Spring Break? And can we please be done early June!!!

No one wants the endless days off, the endless time off in the Winter, the religious holidays etc etc.

+1 finally, someone has some sense

No, finally someone has an opinion that matches yours. I would prefer a 9-week-on, 3-week-off calendar with a 5/6 week summer break in July. That would be wonderful, in my opinion.

Clearly, you make no sense. Your calendar isn't ideal. The calendar stated above makes the most sense for most people.

But it doesn't. Your proposed calendar with all of the federal holidays, a few days at the end of each quarter, a week each at Thanksgiving/Christmas/Spring Break would not allow us to fit in 180 days of school and still get out in early June.

My proposed calendar is ideal for me as a teacher and mother to high schoolers. Obviously, the majority of people in FCPS do not want it. Different people want different things.

2025-2026 calendar is a disaster.

We start the same day as the City of Falls Church but get our a full 8 days later... who the hell thought this was a good idea?

All these religious holidays area a joke. We have been in FCPS for 10 years now and didn't observe every holiday under the sun back then.
