Don’t they have to do this again at some point soon? Last time I thought it was for three years. And plenty of people did speak up back then and were ignored. |

And teachers don't get paid for any of those - each of those holidays pushes back the end of our 195 day contract to make the (also unpaid) summer shorter and shorter. It's less time for us to pick up summer work, because it's less than 2 months. And we can't all just magically turn those three/four day weekends into a week long trip somewhere because we need to find subs and write plans (and get principal approval, which is harder for those weeks because everyone wants to do the same thing). |

It doesn't all even out for the students, what are you talking about? The year is entirely too long. The entire month of June is a waste. |
