Can you do Wellesley? |
Midd takes 70% of their class ED, as of 2 years ago. If your NYC area private is not delivering, it is not because I am wrong; it is because they are doing a bad job with this particular school. Look at your "NYC private" with a more critical eye, and you might learn something. |
Oh, so indeed they are on downfall. Poor Midd parents. Losers! |
lol It’s only temporary. |
Midd wasn't falling; rather non-objective social equity factors were rising. I expect that will change very soon. |
I see rise in Colby, W&L and Colgate, soon Middlebury will be at 25 |
Middleburry will outperform everyone and will be back at 11 by next year. |

Anyone else out there have actual data for ED and RD admits from your schools? |
Middlebury is one of very very few top LACs that have a big ED advantage. |
At a time (2015) when submission of standardized scores was widely expected, Middlebury placed 51st nationally and 6th among NESCAC LACs (after Williams, Amherst, Bowdoin*, Hamilton and Wesleyan) by this characteristic:

Ummmm, it's 2025. That's from 10 years ago. And Hamilton has ranked in the top 10 LACs per USNews only once--back in 2021 when it was 9. |
Yes, if you read my full response I said many alums from my era have kids going, everyone getting in ED. My eldest wouldn’t even consider Midd, so I haven’t paid much attention to how hard or easy the admit is. |
If you're a rich kids school -- and let's face it... -- it's almost impossible to score well on social mobility.
[b]social mobility ranking is tied for 120th |
