Why is Middlebury's ranking so low? I would've thought it would be t10. |
To sell magazines to people lacking critical thinking skills. (Same answer as when its ranking is high.) |
What is its ranking? |
40 https://wallethub.com/edu/e/college-rankings/40750 |
It’s a decent school for the right kid but nothing that special about it |
Absolutely one of the top 10.
Schools like Carleton Harvey Mudd are largely irrelevant but ranked higher. |
It is no 19 on US News LACs ranking |
Stop paying attention to rankings. Look at the actual school. |
I can't believe people here are quoting WalletHub as a real source. The author of that article got a degree in creative writing in 2017 from JHU, which by sheer coincidence, made it into the top 10 on this list. |
JHU has always been t10 |
Other than WASP, there are Bowdoin, Wellesley, and Middlebury. These are the top lacs. |
We chose Carleton over Middlebury. Carleton is definitely a top LAC! |
Carleton is only relevant if you want to pursue a phd. Irrelevant in high finance, med school, or law school. With fed funding cut, you soon will have to do research in a foreign country. I strongly suggest against Carleton. |
I agree with previous poster. Middlebury is a decent school but nothing special about it. |
It’s not just about PhDs. For 13 years straight, Carleton has been ranked first for best undergraduate teaching. |
