LIVING for these town halls where bipartisan constituents are finally holding MAGA to account

This is the Gestapo. OMG. What is happening to this country. This is just the beginning

In case you’re interested, here is a longer version from a different angle. People were trying to help and were actively blocked by others. It’s truly upsetting.

WOW.....ladies have we had enough yet?? This is atrocious how he is speaking to her. "little girl" ?? What happened to free speech.

I hope she sues

I don't understand what took the cops so long to get there. Unidentified thuggish looking men are dragging people out of a town hall and no one calls the police?

If you’re a Coeur d’Alene police officer, do you really want to show up on video in the moment stopping MAGA security forces from dragging this woman out of the auditorium? The cameras aren’t sitting on a country road at 1:00 AM when the MAGA paramilitaries run you off the road, or outside your house at 3:30 AM when they break in armed to the teeth, or at 7:55 AM when they show up with a stolen school bus to take your kids to school, just a few minutes ahead of the real school bus.

That’s what you get if you’re a Coeur d’Alene police officer and you interfere when the GOP and your sheriff and their unidentified paramilitary security forces drag out a loud Democrat woman from the auditorium by her hair. If you as a police officer interfere with their intimidation efforts, you’re their enemy forever.

That is some very colorful fiction you've spun. But maybe, keep your day job.

thats not really an exaggeration- the boomers's parents, so the grandparenst of gen x and millenials did this to black people commonly and asians. Lynicings only stopped happening in the 1950s as a regular, common occurrence . Someone who is 60 years old right now probably heard about this stuff, someone who is on their 70s mightve ridden along with their dad/graddad while they did their night rider raid. people in their late fifties right now (the age of that sheriff in the video) were present and a part of the Nazi march in Skokie, were active members of the KKK and American Nazi party all over the USA. This sheriff guy mightve been a kkk or nazi party member in his youth, it became increasingly unacceptabel to do that in the 80s, 90s, 10s but why do you think he owuldnt have told his sons about his beliefs? they would be in their 40s and his grandsons also- teh age of teh guys who actualy dragged that woman out? driving to someone 's house in a group and threatening them was common american behavior for a large majority of white american men who lived in rural areas- sometimes they were even threatening genuine bad guys like pedophiles/rapists. im 45, my parents were in their 30s in the 1970s, the KKK and American Nazi party were not fringe movements until the end of the 70s. plenty of tehir neighbors were sympathetic or even members- especially in only, Damascus, eastern shore. My olde siblings friends definetly went to kkk meetings back then as elementary school kids. and they are in their late fifties now.

ugh- so many typos- lynchings and KKK was active in Olney, Damascus etc. My best friend grew up in rural Indiana in the 1980s and the dads were still in the kkk, a black family moved to her town, had a son and the boys at the highschool kicked him down the stairs and the family moved away. these peopel are in their early fifties now.

Frankly(as shon in the last election) right extremism is slightly more palatable to independants/middlers than left extremism. To win them back and gain ground with more liberal republicans, Democrats need to move Back to the Middle. Be the party of common sense responsible government.

Just because you love fascism doesn’t mean that centrist democrats heed to court them.

What is the definition of crazy? Doing the same things over and over expecting…?

The American people having been telling democrats for years that they’re not onboard with the far left agenda. They don’t want trans women in women’s sports. While they support a women’s right to choose, they agree with some limits on abortion. They think Affirmative Action should be ending soon. They want schools focused on reading and math and not trying to push social agenda issues. They hate paper straws . But democrats are betting that if they court the <25% of far left liberals, then other democrats/ independents will fall in line. They are losing that bet.

Instead, middlers find the far left so unpalatable that they’ll reason “I’m not voting for the man, I’m voting for the platform”. In a way, democrats are partly responsible for Trump’s re-election because they refuse to listen to the 50% of the nation in the middle. If they start to court the middle, most from the far left will fall in line.

But if y'all keep pretending to be blind and continue dismissing the middle, you will continue to lose. Enjoy your confused expression on election night.

Back to the Middle!

No.....this was an extremely close race and I still wonder if someone's money didn't help this election.

Trump got enough swing voters to win. Democrats need to let go of their most unpopular policies to win again.

Nope. Enough progressives and pro-gaza people stayed home.

You can look to Mark Wahlberg. He spent his childhood harassing black and Asian people, chasing them out of the neighborhood and calling them racial slurs.

These people are absolutely in the 50s and engaged with society. We remember.

Town Hall events reached all-time low in 2024....will likely be even lower in 2025.

Town hall numbers reach all-time low in 2024
Posted by Caleb Mynatt on Feb. 24, 2025
The frequency of town hall events continued to trend sharply downward last year.

There were only 1018 town hall events in 2024, the lowest number of events for a year since LegiStorm started tracking town hall data. By comparison, the 2024 total was 53.4% lower than the combined average of 2317 events per year for all years LegiStorm has complete data. This marks the third consecutive year that town halls have dipped below 2000 total events.

Prior to 2022, the average number of town hall events per year was 2685. Even 2020, which was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, had 2756 town hall events despite only 16% of them taking place in person. The current year is, at this time, on pace to outdo 2024 in total town hall events, but will not come close to reaching the baseline of a minimum of 2000 total events that existed prior to 2022.

While one party typically outdoes the other in any given year, it's largely dictated by who controls Congress. Democrats hosted more events from 2019 to 2023, while Republicans led from 2014 to 2018. In both instances, the party that hosted more town hall events had control of the House of Representatives.

When will Americans stop sitting politely and watching all of this unfold? We just sit and allow unidentified men accountable to no one drag off a citizen for speaking their disagreement at a town hall? Why didn't anyone else help her?

I’m an older woman and I am furious at what I saw in the video! First, why didn’t anyone stand up and help the woman who was being dragged out?!!! She wasn’t the only one yelling out things and she didn’t say anything terrible. Who were the guys that dragged her out and why did they come prepared with zip ties?! This is assault. If they were LEO on duty, they should have worn uniforms or shown their badges. MAgA are straight up thugs.

Oh stop it Lib. That woman was RUDE. She showed no respect for the speakers on stage and deserved to get mocked and booted out. I wish the security guy had just put her in a headlock and dragged her out of there. Idaho judges would have thrown out her lawsuit because she’s just so obnoxious.

She booed. Do you know what happened to the people who booed Obama and the Clintons at two months ago ant Trump’s inauguration—booing more important people at a more important event? NOTHING.

Booing is constitutionally protected.

You’re a thug, and 💯 wrong.

What difference does it make then if you obey in advance? That’s their job. Look what she sacrificed. I’m so sick of people excusing men from standing up.

The police can stand up.
Congress can stand up.
The military can stand up.
White men everywhere can stand up.

Women get death threats every day, and it doesn’t stop them.
