It didn’t say that. Quote for me the text where it says that. |
Observing the fact that white Christians have had privileged opportunities (whether they deserved it or not) is not animosity. It is a fact. NP. |
It’s any non-white hire. |
This has nothing to do with the DEI RIF, or whatever its category. I’m not a white Christian. I don’t believe that my interests were supported by the DEI office and corresponding trainings. I don’t feel harmed by its removal. I do feel for the people who might lose their jobs, though. It’s a tough job economy. |

It really surprises me that managers would have pushed employees to include pronouns. I guess I work for more conservative agencies because I could never imagine my bosses doing that (even though we are 90% D like everyone else in DC).

I do know 2 individuals I used to work with who went on to work for our agency’s DEI program. While I am glad DEI is going away, I think firing everyone who ever touched DEI is not the way to go. These people aren’t externally hired “experts” but internally hired folks who have experience and knowledge in our agency’s mission. They should just reassign them. |
Yes because managers should really know better. I’m gay but never drank the pronoun koolaid and if someone told me to include pronouns in my signature I would not. |

They have until 5pm today to take down the websites. |
Sure |
Absolutely. DEI created more racists than there would have otherwise been. |
The workers who took jobs from and are more educated than white Christian men. None of the workers are white Christian men. ? |
Is it okay to discriminate against someone who had privilege? |
While some use DEI and POC interchangeably, it also includes veterans and persons with disabilities. Having veterans and persons with disabilities in the workforce helps bring a diversity of ideas and experiences that help fill in blind spots in policies. Some people don't see any value in the inclusion of these people in the workplace and it's too bad. Oh well. |
Oh please. Say there are two candidates. Black Muslim female and White Christian male. BMF is more educated and has more relevant experience. BMF gets the job. Is that discrimination? No. WCM gets the job. Is that discrimination? Yes. Now let's say they are equally qualified in pretty much every way. BMF gets the job? Is that discrimination? No. WCM gets the job. Is that discrimination? No. |
