I am talking to a lot of Democrats who want Trump to succeed.

It's actually much more fun than spending the first few minutes of each day reporting 30 posts for misinformation like I used to do.

This morning, I posted the article on how 29 Republicans want to push the retirement age to tackle the deficit.

You are the laughing stock among your Maga/Republican relatives because you are posting when you should either be working or getting ready for work. Then they giggle about how riled up you are in the morning and laugh about how bad you must get as the day progresses. Then they recall you bragging about reporting posts and you had to explain it was for the internet rather than the posts the FedEx truck driver knocks over as he drives through the hollers.

The self-importance of your post, alone, will give them another laugh. So mindful, so demure, so amusing.

If they want to shut down the government, fine. Let them. If they want to pass highly unpopular bills, let them. Let them cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, VA benefits, regulatory agencies. But they have to do it without a single bit of Democratic support. They will control the Presidency, Congress and the Supreme Court. Let them own every single thing that happens from here on out and force them to actually govern.

This.
MAGA owns it all.

First up is the CR next week. The democrats had better not support unless they get every penny of disaster relief asked for and not cave on any MAGA additions.

And we can start on December 20. If the democrats don’t get everything they want for the CR, then they should not help Johnson pass it.

The democrats need to stop being patsies. No more compromise. The democrats tried that with the lankford bill and it was a disaster.

This....done with democrats always doing the right thing.

Dems should do zero to help Johnson unless it benefits Democrats. Let the GOP shut down the government. It's going to be a turbulent ride so fasten your seat belts!

And that’s how Democrats roll. Glad we’ll soon have a President who’ll work to benefit ALL Americans.

Wow delusional much?

These three things have still not been fixed and we deal with the safety issues and the threats to democracy they create.

Even when terrible things happen due to Republican administrations and their hatred of government, people don't connect the dots.

I get that it feels good to think you know better and that eventually people will see what a hellscape they've created, but they won't. Things will just be worse and someone in the future will blame Dems for things Republicans did. So, fight like hell for the scraps of civility we have left, friends. No one is going to fix it all and hand it to us on a silver platter.

Amen. Until people start realizing that most of what ails society today is a direct result of Reagan/Bush policies, we will never get anywhere. I still cannot fathom how even some Dems still think old Ronnie was a great President

I have difficulty with your ignorance. Reagan and Bush were REPUBLICANS and Democrats did not vote for Reagan or either Bush.

Except the libs, transgender people, LGBT people, political rivals, radical left lunatics, RINOs and whoever else is on his “enemies list” who he has promised to destroy.

Yup and really he will destroy everyone even his delusional supporters.

Dems have gotten higher minimum wages, stronger OSHA requirements for workplace safety, guarantees in worker rights, the ACA, food and drug safety, cleaner air and water, more job growth (by a factor of 96 to 4) etc.

What have republicans done for the working class? Serious question.

They harnessed their anger.

The DNC has been ignoring the working class for years, but keeps crying about democracy. I’m expected to vote for bad and/or geriatric candidates that can’t do the job to “stop Trump.” They need to step it up if they want me to vote. I’m about done, despite never missing an election in 30 years.

Well said.

But, you voted for a bad, geriatric candidate.

I am praying that he consumes five Big Mavs every day and keeps clogging those arteries with orange gooey plaque until one fine his arteries explode all over the oval office!

Most are well off business people and professionals and will benefit from the tax cuts and becoming Trump police supporters after they voted for KH and are so disappointed after she lost.

I'm a moderate Democrat and support a lot of his policies - better border control and harder on crime (including petty theft). I also want him to leave alone Obamacare, benefits like SS/Medicare and other social programs, and increase taxes to balance the budget. I'm also not White and continue to be wary of his racist rhetoric.
Now that he's won with broad support, he has a once in a lifetime opportunity - pivot towards the middle, do what's necessary for the real majority in the country, and become of the greatest presidents. This would also help ensure Republican victory for a very long time. Not very hopeful however.. Trump already had this opportunity during Covid and BLM to show leadership in that direction and miserably failed.

He did not win "broad support." He won racists and sexists.

Trump was a total disaster his first term.

He is already failing bigly.

I was appalled last time. This time I am cheering him on as he destroys his loyal cult followers.

It's going to be glorious when he strips everything from them. Health care, social security, their pensions, their jobs.

They will find a way to blame Democrats.

Nope this time Democrats are angry-no one is listening to the BS anymore.

lol, what a laughable comment. There’s no hope with people like this among us.

Haven't you left for a white European country with social welfare benefits? We don't want you among us.

dp Too bad, but you can't wish us away. We don't want YOU or your orange man but, here we are. And also, as an American it is my right to stay in America. I don't give two sh&ts that you don't want us.

As you would say 'cry harder'

MAGA....they are always crying

All true Americans want their POTUS to succeed. The problem is; when you elect elderly people like Trump and Biden to perform this very demanding job, the odds of success aren't good. 2nd graders can figure this out but not eligible American voters.

Another problem is voting in a lying, treasonous, felon, rapist con man as president.....never good for a country.

That’s the best part of the “mandate”. They’re on the hook for doing it all. First up, let’s get my grocery prices down and my energy bill cut in half by the end of the year. I presume that wasn’t a campaign lie.

+1. Come on MAGAs. Where's my drop in grocery prices? I fully expect the price of eggs to start coming down immediately, mid-day on January 20th.

Donald Trump apparently told Time Magazine though that he's not sure he can bring the cost of groceries down, "It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard." You don't say...

Egg poster is insufferable.

Obviously addicted to egg salad -- can you imagine what its house smells like?

This. Could you imagine if your children's school needed a principal and they put in someone who was any one of these things....parents would be outraged and saying he## no. We should all be outraged that we have a felon for a president.
