| Right now, schools only have 14 scholarships. That hasn't changed (yet). How many players on a 28 player roster are getting athletic full rides? 3 a year? That seems like too many... So, 2? (8 total full rides) and then partial scholarships to some players and then no money for a few. |
Very few D1 or D2 offer the full 14 outside of the Power4 - and not all of them. |
Not true. I would say each year looks like: 20% 40% 60% 80% or 40% 80% 100% 100% Lots of schools just give books scholarships (VA TECH) or pay only for summer classes in full. There are a million ways to incentivize players. Oh - and then there is their stipend! (Not part of the scholarship) |

Local Duke parents cranking out the posts over the weekend on multiple social media outlets about another daughter signing with the #1 recruiting class in the country at Duke...grit, determination, focus, etc...The latest signee is with Union. National team player? |
Any new successful local college commitments of note from DMV clubs? |

I can only speak for NVA 07/06 and 08 girls teams;
Vanderbilt Louisville Wake Forest (x2) Michigan State St. Johns (x2) Kentucky NC State Butler St. Bonaventure Davidson UMASS Towson StonyBrook Delaware High Point Temple A few D3s |
No, not a national team player. Not a starter on the team either. |
Most of the "better schools" are from the 07s. |
A youth club team bench player going to Duke? I don't think so. |
Money talks… |
Union had another player go to Duke the last few years also...they are obviously great players. Wasn't Duke just in the final 4? |
