I can’t find the post right now, but to those concerned about Trump’s debate performance, he obviously was not prepared for her personal insults and allowed her to needle him.

Another factor is I think he did not want to come across as a bully when debating a female. He knew her supporters would claim misogyny/ racism at the drop of a hat.

When he actually was talking about politics and foreign affairs during the debate, he was extremely knowledgeable.

I'm not looking for a perfect debater but you have to be able to be prepared and deal with an adversarial situation. I thought that Trump was not able to deal with an adversarial situation with an acceptable level of competence. I also thought Joe Biden failed in his debate.
