You are a disgusting person

Good, that would open up a spot for my kid.

It's been a month since school started. I was hoping it was temporary but she's still wearing it. I'm a total jerk if I say something and nothing would change, but I can't be the only one out there who would be bothered by this?

You mind your own damn business
She’s wearing it for any number of reasons none of which are any of your business.
No one cares.
Let people live their lives.
Kids truly don’t care.

I don’t think “what kids care about” should define the school experience …. They are still kids, after all. I would also say OP is minding her own business, which is her child’s education. OP also never said she was entitled to the teachers reasons. So what is actually triggering you so hard?

In order for her kid to learn, they need a healthy teacher. Teacher stops masking and gets sick op will complain the teacher is out and they have a sub.

I willl take a picture and post on social media get her fired

My kids bus driver was wearing a mask the first week of school-
I called him out one the first day told him to take it off, he said he had covid and will take off as soon as is safe. I wanted to cursed him out but there was kids on he bus. He is no longer wearing a mask.

They make masks that have a clear window so the wearer’s mouth is visible. I know teachers use those— maybe your teacher will, but I don’t think you can really ask.

So again, what was wrong with the actual post?

It’s within teacher’s human right. You are a jerk. People still wear masks if they have health issues and need them. Such a jerky thing to even post. Shame on you.

What’s wrong with you! The driver had a right to wear a mask. You are a terrible human.

Targeting a teacher for protecting their health is ridiculous. Grow up. You can’t fire people for wearing masks. What a privileged life you live to not have to worry about your health. Others do and need to take precautions.

And some of you wonder why there’s a teacher shortage and large classroom sizes

You should consider getting your hearing checked, OP, if you can't understand people who are wearing masks. It sounds like you have hearing issues and use lip movement to provide context clues.

You’re upset because he was trying to protect the kids? This wasn’t even a case of him trying to protect himself, but rather him protecting his passengers. Unlike the teacher in OP’s complaint (who I think is also entitled to wear a mask), communication is not his primary purpose. What possible problem could you have with him wearing a mask? I hope you never need surgery because the doctors and nurses would also be wearing masks to protect your health.

What is the big deal? You'd send your kid unmasked sick. Why didn't you offer to drive the bus?

She was upset as she wants all adults to be healthy and not sick, but wants to complain when they get sick and still have to do their jobs.

We requested a Kindergarten teacher specifically to avoid the other teacher who wears a mask all day, every day. Our older child was in her class and while she is a delightful, nice teacher, our child did not understand her and could not read her emotions well. Whatever health reasons she has to continue wearing the mask are hers, but it is obvious that covering 1/2 of your face is obstructive to many of the major goals in early elementary, like sounding out letters, speaking clearly, showing empathy and warmth, etc. I don’t think parents have any influence on a teacher’s choice to continue masking, but I would move my child because of it.
