I hate to bring you the bad news but College Coach participation has been slowly declining over the past two years. Word among those in the know is that their will be an even larger downturn next year. The exception of Champions Cup and Playoffs yet still GA is far far behind in the number of D1 commits. No Koolaid when its 70% commits to 20% commits. Those are factual numbers. I think you may in fact want to look at what you are drinking...coach. |
| Club hopping happens at all the big name clubs nationally you mentioned as well. So sorry but the theory is not well researched. There is just more talent in these other regions and better weather. Its not a complicated formula. Kids from around here just have to be that much better to seperate as a result. That happens here with some individuals but the teams will never be that competitive because there just isnt enough talent to justify all the teams, but there is plenty of money to spend so that alone justifies all the clubs from a business standpoint. Focus on your kid's individual development and ignore the leagues and the drama about movement. Let people move, don't be the snitch cause nobody wants you to move with them |
Keep trying, San Diego Surf beat Union 10-0. Maybe if you pay ECNL more they'll give your kid a win. |
GA has been in existence for 3 seasons. According to their website the number of college commitments has increased by 100 players per year. I can post the links but it's more fun to just state unsubstantiated claims like you do. |

Taste great!
Less filling! None of your kids get any playing time so the league is irrelevent! Go outside and get better with them instead of banging away here |
| Many things can be true at the some time it is not binary. Union 07 players have been recruited at big name schools so those players are good enough to at least make the team. But yet they still lost badly in the group stage which means the team isn’t uniformly stronger than other teams, who also have girls going to big soccer schools. |
|
If the goal is college recruiting and not nationally competitive teams why did Ecnl make Union and Brave merge? Even if they only mandated the merge on the boys side why did the clubs merge the girls?
If the goal is more college recruiting then you’d want more ecnl teams regardless of how strong they are for the exposure. Can’t have it both ways. |
I don’t have to…please list all commits for Skyline, Celtic, Armour, Coppermine, Keystone, and VRSC. I guess FCV is still relevant even though it’s Savior LEFT FOR AN ECNL CLUB. Then add up the number of ECNL commits from DMV. BTW, anyone can do this by looking at TDS but most Intelligent parents already know the answer. Can’t say the same for the SYC coach that is posting all of this. |

But I’ll help you out anyway…here are some links:
https://x.com/imyouthsoccer/status/1804590176762745009?s=46 You can get all the facts you need from this C account. @ImYouthSoccer Your ignorance of you choose to ignore real data. |
Nope -- attendance at GA events is about half of ECNL events. While it is true that some DOCs have those contacts, there are ECNL clubs in the DMV where not a single call was placed yet everyone is recruited. |
Why do we need this? I am confused. Soccer is a sport. Like any other. Why do you say we need this? |
| You are informed sir ⭐️ |
This guy gets it, follow him |
The forced merger had nothing to do with making a nationally competitive team. Why would ECNL care about this? Brave girls are not going to help Union and would not have helped this year. The whole purpose of ECNL is college recruiting. That is their product. Everyone is buying. |
