Three nights is a really long time to go to GWL. You can honestly do 2 days and 1 night and it’s plenty. Note for the future.
As for bringing food, no we don’t ever bring food, but everyone has different budgets. If you are going to the one near Williamsburg, Pierce’s Pit BBQ was nearby and was amazing. There’s a family meal that would probably be enough for dinner and lunch the next day. |

Sure. Instant oatmeal packets (usually there's a way to get hot water easily in the hotel or the room) and ramen noodles fill kids up quickly.
A jar of peanut butter, crackers, granola bars, bananas. Eating 3 meals a day of restaurant food (or even 2 meals a day) gets heavy pretty quickly. Yogurts, cheese, Fruit, sandwich fixings can all go in the fridge if you have one. |
Agree that one night is plenty for GWL. One night gets you two days in the park/pool. OP, if you’re on a budget and this is a summer trip, I would recommend Water Country USA over GWL. I think GWL is a great offseason trip. In the summer it loses some of its appeal IMHO. Outdoor water parks usually have bigger pools, slides and attractions than GWL. |
