Didnt you already brush your teeth? nasty!

Why do you assume that?

because you are in bed.

So? I hang out in bed for a while reading, then perform my ablutions.

I known, right...the logic on the forum is the most entertaining thing about it! So anyone who sits or lounges in their bed is a lazy, gross, despicable human! What? šŸ˜‚

Raises my hand. I really don't give a flying fig what any DCUM shithead thinks.

It’s no wonder all your kids are anxious. Can’t even relax at home.

My DH is a medical doctor, makes a ton of money, is extremely handsome and loving, and eats his nightly snack in bed under the covers. I just love being with him and can brush any crumbs out. We have a TV in our bedroom, a gorgeous king bed, and a great sex life.

Me too! Hi twinsie troll!

Anonymous wrote:OP here. This thread has been eye opening! My boyfriend is getting an absolute kick out of it. It wasn't even an argument, he just commented on the weirdness of my behavior, and I was curious. Clearly, he is correct and I am abnormal. For the record I only do it in our guest room when it's the end of the night and I have finally decided to relax and watch something. I always clean up, and I change my sheets in all bedrooms weekly!

Also, just to clarify...we are upper middle class, I have a very successful career and I am not overweight. Laziness is not something that exists in my wheel house.I am also not sure I follow the logic of bed eating equals poor diet and obesity? Lol. I eat very good, whole foods...I just sometimes do it in bed watching TV.

It’s a sloppy, lazy habit so it’s not unreasonable to guess that that tendency spills over into other parts of your life.

But that isn't the case here. All other parts of my life are successful, by my own hand! I am very successful by all materialistic societal accounts. Great career, big beautiful clean house with an immaculate yard, 2 new cars that are also clean, great style and wardrobe, in shape, lots of friends, involved in civic responsibilities, and I even run a sports and fitness program in my free time! So yeah, I am NOT lazy, I just enjoy a meal or snack in bed from time to time.

You sound super annoying from this post. The only thing I like about you is that you snack in bed.

I think I sound annoying too! Sorry. I would never ever talk like this in real life. I don't brag. I just know the DCUM audience, and they are a materialistic bunch.I am just trying to get a point across...JUST BECAUSE ONE SNACKS IN BED, DOES NOT EQUATE TO LAZINESS!

We have a crane lift with heavy duty canvas straps for when we do need to leave the bed

But the issue isn't whether more than 99% of the people on DCUM agree with you - the issue is that he doesn't like it, so proceed accordingly.

Fixed it for you

Not the OP for the record! As the OP I appreciated the creative insults. Dimwitted was one of my favorites!

I told him that several people I know snack/eat in bed watching TV. He completely disagrees with me, so people of DCUM, do you eat/snack in bed? Thank you!

Team boyfriend.

Do your parents know you do this or is this something they failed to teach properly?

The fake Op apparently doesn’t have kids so that’s a plus.

Nobody cares about your big house and two cars, everyone on DCUM has that! The people really want to know—What’s your height and weight?

Correct. It is not universally true but it is true most of the time - it is a prime indicator of slothfulness, particularly when paired w/ the TV in the bedroom. So it is not an unreasonable or off-base conclusion to derive here. So you were right - you are an abnormal outlier in this regard.

How so? Because it's something you don't do, so you judge everyone else who does as inferior?

When I was a kid (30 years ago), I remember hearing this song on the radio by Barbara Mandrell -- "You Can Eat Crackers In My Bed Anytime." It's a catchy and fun song.

As a kid, I remember saying to my mom "that sounds messy and kind of gross to eat food in bed." (It had not occurred to me to eat food in bed.)

Yes. I have a disorder that makes getting out of bed difficult sometimes.
