Survey: Eat/snack in your bed?

low information, dimwitted poors.

Raises my hand. I really don't give a flying fig what any DCUM shithead thinks.

Yes, some of my fondest memories of my mom were when she would bring me breakfast in bed when I was unwell or just out of sorts.

She had a little lap table that I now use for my kids (and me sometimes.)

Vulgar? You’re a treat.

I’m shocked how often the word “gross” is used here on this supposedly rich people forum.

It’s no wonder all your kids are anxious. Can’t even relax at home.

My DH is a medical doctor, makes a ton of money, is extremely handsome and loving, and eats his nightly snack in bed under the covers. I just love being with him and can brush any crumbs out. We have a TV in our bedroom, a gorgeous king bed, and a great sex life.

OP here. This thread has been eye opening! My boyfriend is getting an absolute kick out of it. It wasn't even an argument, he just commented on the weirdness of my behavior, and I was curious. Clearly, he is correct and I am abnormal. For the record I only do it in our guest room when it's the end of the night and I have finally decided to relax and watch something. I always clean up, and I change my sheets in all bedrooms weekly!

Also, just to clarify...we are upper middle class, I have a very successful career and I am not overweight. Laziness is not something that exists in my wheel house.I am also not sure I follow the logic of bed eating equals poor diet and obesity? Lol. I eat very good, whole foods...I just sometimes do it in bed watching TV.

You don't really know this. FWIW I've often found this sub forum to skew a little crazy. Probably me too.

OP here. Lol! Good point. I have been a long time DCUM poster and really enjoy the crazy! I send friends and family links to threads all the time for entertainment value.

On a side note about crazy...I have noticed a huge change in the quality of response. Most of it is cruel, mean, judgemental nonsense! I think it has to be a change in societal norms. DCUM is the best social experiment, thanks Jeff!🙏

I can't eat in my bed. I don't want crumbs where I sleep. I will eat on the sofa. Also, I can't eat in a bathroom.

This exactly.

It’s a sloppy, lazy habit so it’s not unreasonable to guess that that tendency spills over into other parts of your life.

But that isn't the case here. All other parts of my life are successful, by my own hand! I am very successful by all materialistic societal accounts. Great career, big beautiful clean house with an immaculate yard, 2 new cars that are also clean, great style and wardrobe, in shape, lots of friends, involved in civic responsibilities, and I even run a sports and fitness program in my free time! So yeah, I am NOT lazy, I just enjoy a meal or snack in bed from time to time.

Why do you assume that?

because you are in bed.

So? I hang out in bed for a while reading, then perform my ablutions.

You sound super annoying from this post. The only thing I like about you is that you snack in bed.

My ex-wife ate in bed constantly. Dirty dishes on her nightstand and under the bed. I remarried, and we both agree, "Absolutely no food in the bedroom."
