No clue on the coach. But I will say that having a tryout at Indy and another at GMU is not a horrible idea.

The question would be where would they practice?

What are the chances of getting a sizable chunk of the better players from the majors together and just going to one team? The dissatisfaction in the big three is palpable and rumors that a bunch of kids are moving between the teams already

I think the real issue is that these kids cannot stay on one team long enough to get better as a team.

No chance: field, coaches, web site, club affiliation to get into tournaments as many want more than one team, insurance, equipment, tournament schedule, …

This is all true. But one can dream, right?

If VLC would only announce a good coach, they would get a lot of good players showing up at the July tryouts. All of the Loudon county players on the big three (especially DCE) would be an easy sell.

Absolutely true that kids wont stay on one team long enough to get better as a team. The kids want instant and constant success and if that doesn’t happen, off they hop. Next Level’s enormous roster does have kids who have been there the whole time though. Hopefully their middies are a welcoming bunch!

100% the parents posting here are the bottom of these clubs rosters.

Not true in my case at least. But even if we stayed where we’re at another team would be welcome to reduce the overcrowding and unhappiness on our sideline.

normally that would be the case, but in this class it is different for all the reasons stated in this ten page thread. the rosters are so big that players in the middle third are feeling the crunch normally felt by the bottom third, and teams all have issues that makes players in the top third unhappy too.

all i have to say as a parent who’s kid played for a “mid” club and is playing D1 this next spring, getting him a seat at the table all had to do with marketing. it was social media, and reaching out and sending film.

Am I reading this correctly? Does ML 28 really have 29 players on their roster?!?

NL and DCE have more.

They tried that last year with Dico. Dico is a great coach, but parents do not want to deal with the VLC organization…
