These kids seem perfectly comfortable advocating for a genocide of all Jews.

If you actually follow the facts you would understand that 99% of the Columbia student protesters are not advocating for a genocide of all Jews.
They are focusing on divestment. But why bother with facts when they are inconvenient to the narrative you are determined to stick with

Columbia Jewish professors agitate and incite violence. My guess is they will be promoted.

That said - I was watching some of the videos this morning, and was struck by just how annoying these protesters are. It reminded me of the Occupy encampments (which weren't as anti-semitic, from what I recall) - but in look, feel, tone, behavior. I remember those irritating call and repeat chants, the high pitched whiny voices of those leading them, the whole thing.

When did young people get so annoying? Was it always so?

There is no antisemitism just support for Palestinians which make some Jewish student “feel uncomfortable”. Only those who think Palestinians must be ethnically cleansed from the world for Israel to exist would equate support for Palestinians, calling for a cease-fire or demanding an end to a holocaust antisemitic.

Now lying about what is actually happening and crack down on people not supporting a foreign country will actually create a real backlash.

Are you really still denying that these protests are rife with anti-semitism? Are you seriously not paying any attention?

Or are you about to "very fine people on both sides" me here - except you think only one side has fine people in it, right?

Get your head out of the sand and look at what this is. Like the PP - I support a two state solution. I've hated Netanyahu since before it was cool. I also don't think that these idiot kids should be terrorizing Jewish students, stabbing them in the eye, "occupying" college campuses, or any of this other nonsense.

First of all, the kids protesting and people in the movement support a one state solution with equal rights for all (advocating for a 2 state solution hasn’t been “cool” for a long time which shows me who you really are). Second of all, it has been repeated time and time again that there are a few bad actors outside of Columbia who the students do NOT claim, just as there are bad faith actors looking to derail any movement. I even saw on a pro Israel page that one of the agitators (who is not a student) and who has been causing the trouble at the Columbia protests is someone who they refer to as the “special needs protestor.” Do with that what you will.

She also said the majority of students at Columbia were shocked and angered by the police arrests. That was a traumatic day on Campus. No one likes the current president of Columbia

You mean she is afraid of Jewish professors like Shai Davidai who incite violence and whistle calls Zionist everywhere to descend on the Columbia campus encampment?

And you believe a single state would actually have equal rights because... magic?

DP.

Support for a one-state solution:

Israelis: 20%

Palestinians: 23%

Looks like the far left is trying to dictate a solution that the parties involved don't want.

I wonder if there's a word to describe that.... pretty sure it's not "cool".

Anti semitism should not include being able to stand up for Palestine/Gaza. I really feel strongly that Jews who keep putting down these protesters are in the wrong. It's not about whether the protesters are right but that they should be allowed to express their sentiments without being attacked publicly. People don't understand that universities have always been the battlefront of intense political dialogue - education is where ideas and thoughts are expressed and absorbed. Questioning and debate, considerations and strong sentiments are the way the young learn. To take away the rights of these kids is basically censorship.

The Jerusalem Post article said the Yale editor in chief who was poked in the eye was trying to shut down the protest, so it wasn’t some random poking of an innocent passerby. I als wonder if if happened in the chaos, instead of being deliberate.

The article also called all the kids anti-Israel, which I find troubling. The protesters aren’t a monolith. Just because you want a ceasefire doesn’t mean you don’t want Israel to exist. I also wonder why we don’t see anti-Palestine ever written because it sure seems like there are also a bunch of people who want to bomb Palestinians to infinity even if they start a regional war.

The anti-Israel position need not even be an existential position. I’m thoroughly, unequivocally opposed to Israel’s actions over its entire 75 years of existence, and the actions of Zionists preceding those 75 years, and yet I’m not advocating for the dissolution of the State of Israel. Instead, I’m advocating for an outcome that results in all groups in the region living in relative peace with one another.

That is because the other 70+ % want a single state solution with the otherside eradicated.

This is INSANE! I hope Columbia is sued into oblivion for this gross misconduct. Wow.

Columbia University professor @ShaiDavidai entered campus today only to find his CUID had been deactivated. The university’s COO was standing by and informed Shai that it was deactivated because the school “cannot guarantee his safety.”

So instead of shutting the pro-Hamas mob, the university decided to deactivate a Jewish professor’s ID!?

Employers are most definitely going to be critically reviewing any applicants from these universities.

Hopefully Hamas is hiring.

Do you and your daughter realize her future employment prospects are diminishing by the hour? Who would want to hire any of these entitled fools?

To ppp: Tell your daughter to make note of threats like this. This is the opening salvo of the ZioNazis and downward they descend into barbarity.

This is not a threat. This is reality.

Sorry, yes, I know - the protesters are radical. Even the "nice" ones are advocating for radical things - things that will not happen, and would take violence (and a whole world change) to achieve. Things that would take genocide to achieve.

I'm not being very coherent. Sorry.

You can say that all day long. When you support Hamas, which they do, you support the killing of Jews. Stop sugarcoating the truth.

So require a loyalty pledge to Israel or how about requiring all students convert to ultra orthodox?

There is a significant difference between signing a gd loyalty pledge to Israel and not calling for killing Jews.

Oh, FFS. There have been 40x the number of Palestinian deaths than Jewish deaths in this conflict, and even here in the U.S., there have been more murders and attempted murders of Palestinians than Jews since 10/7.

Grow TF up! If you want to persist with this “everyone is trying to kill me!” charade, do it somewhere else where you don’t come across as a completely tone deaf maroon.

You mean he called for and organized an incitement with non-student ZioNazis and was denied access to the encampment area? He's badge works just fine at his place of employment in the Columbia Business School. If he were not Jewish he would have been fired.

Wow! You’ve been trying to insist to those appalled by the apartheid in Israel that Israel today has equal rights for all. And yet under alternative leadership, magic would be required to sustain that?
