Just wait until you see the list of confirmed cannabis users that are highly intelligent and successful. Your ignorant opinion does not stand up to scrutiny.

This is like saying “wait until you see the list of people that smoke cigarettes and don’t have lung cancer”.

Maybe a few times a year. I like good cocktails or wine but I feel awful the next day and need to rest and recover.

As for weed though, I really enjoy gummies or other edibles, very rarely vape or take a hit because I don't like smoke. Never in front of or around my kids, never when I'll need to drive. Adds to the experience of a concert or nice dinner, or just to unwind with DH. A 5 mg edible is just right, I'm not sloppy or thinking unclearly, I sleep great, wake up feeling fine. I don't crave it and am in no way dependent on it. It's legal where I live and in my mind alcohol is much more risky at my age.

The only problem with gummies is they take so long to kick in. There’s a liquid kind that’s to help calm and relax that helps immediately. I know that’s not the one you’re looking for but immediate relief is helpful.

That's the one thing I miss about smoking. Smoking kicks in immediately so I can get to juuust the right level I want to be at, at the right time. Edibles you're always estimating and if you want to be just a little bit higher you're guessing the dose to add and waiting for it to kick in.

Agree. They also last a long time, which isn't always bad, but other times I don't want to be high for six hours. At a store in Colorado I found some edibles that kick in after 20 minutes and last four hours at the most. Fast acting, short lived edibles are the new frontier I think. Would also love to see the flower equivalent of a "session IPA", bud that is sticky, smells great etc, but actually have a low THC content. I'm sure there's a market for it!

I’m sure you do. You might know me, and the half a dozen other 50-something other friends of mine who have all used gummies to manage the perimenopausal insomnia. I now take half a 5mg THC/CBN gummy at bedtime. That means I can’t drive if there is a middle of the night emergency, true. But it also means I am getting enough sleep to not want to kill myself, so it seems like a fair trade off.

+1 I live in California and tons of parents take edibles, even (especially?) white parents with high-powered careers. I don’t drink or take edibles, because it takes 100% sobriety for me to parent effectively, but I know plenty of moms who take edibles at night.

Me neither. An someone explain? Are we talking about the gummies I see at the cash register at the gas station?
