Also if you are going to keep name dropping VP Gore you need to state the facts which is Al Gore attended St. Albans and then chose to send his son there as well as his first choice. His son had a disciplinary issue at STA and decided to leave the school and went to Sidwell. Thus if they are now seeing their kid to Sidwell that would make sense.

Bingo, they didn't like the conditions set for him staying at STA after the disciplinary issues, so he left for Sidwell.

If we are just going on historical prestige...it seems like many will agree Sidwell/STA/NCS. Do these schools do it for everyone? Of course not. But are these the ones you are more likely to hear about outside of DC? Yes, for the obvious reasons posted about in this thread.
