He suffers from depression and addiction issues. He was miserable the entire eight years with Garner. I know Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t a favorite of the general public either but she was dead on when she said all Ben cares about is a girl with tits that knows how to chug beer and that he is in permanent frat boy mode . |

Ben has actually been banned from casinos in Las Vegas for his antics including getting Too frisky with waitresses . He has excellent PR and also is a lavish spender /tipper so many of the stories don’t ever come out .

All true but don't let Ben off the hook. He dove into the relationship with JLo super fast and made no effort to acclimate his kids to consider how their families would blend. Violet didn't attend their wedding, her choice. It was reportedly out of loyalty to her mom but that doesn't really make sense to me because I have a hard time believing that Garner asked her not to go, and because Garner and Affleck had been split for almost 4 years at that point. I think Violet didn't go because she didn't want to and didn't support the relationship, which is understandable as she had no real opportunity to get used to it and it was very forced on her. One thing I'll say is that it's kind of crazy to me that Jennifer Garner married and had multiple kids with Affleck. She seems so aggressively grounded and normal and he is extremely not, and it just seems strange for Garner to have to co-parent with him and for their seemingly normal kids to have to deal with him and with this whole relationship plus all the craziness on her side with multiple ex-husbands and everything her kids have been through. I have to assume Garner thought Ben would settle down and then, uh, he didn't. |

I like Jennifer garner, but she was definitely a bit of a striver in her twenties and early thirties. She was married to Scott foley, then she got famous on alias and they got divorced. Wasn’t she engaged to her costar on that show, Michael varten? I think the rumor was that she then left Michael varten for Ben. I’m sure Ben was incredibly charming when he came into Jennifer garners orbit. She has said that when his attention is on you, you feel like the only girl in the world, and then he turns and it’s incredibly isolating. Ben suffers with addiction and some form of mental illness. My guess is that he was charming, an a-lister, she was in her thirties and too good an opportunity to pass up. It didn’t work out, like most Hollywood marriages. The difference is that Jlo also has her own mental issues. She is a narcissist and unstable romantically. Jennifer garners kids are lucky to have a stable mom. |

Bens issue is genetic. His dad suffered from the same gambling and alcoholism issues . He was abusive. He was a mechanic, janitor, bookie, handyman, aspiring actor and playwright . Alcoholism and gambling took over his life. I bet there are parent/child resentments there .
Supposedly the idea behind Good Will Hunting was heavily inspired by Bens dad . I am sure that would make a dad furious. The son co-opting his lifes story and actually making it in Hollywood telling that tale |

And she screenshot her daughter crying in regard to the A Rod breakup and posted it to social media, referencing how she and her husband were there for their children. She was virtual, he was with them. That was so fu*ked up. Like she was congratulating herself or something? Her daughter in pain was appropriate to post? What kind of person does that? I think her life has the chaos of someone with an addiction. (Among other things, like a character disorder). The question is to what is she addicted. Sex? "Love?" Fame? She needs to get into some deep therapy, no joke. |

J Lo needs you stay single for a while and work on herself. She is always jumping headfirst into all of these failed relationships. It’s got to be hard on her children to keep introducing them to each partners’s children, forming a blended family, and then that family breaking up soon thereafter.
She should end her music career after her flop tour that isn’t selling too. She never had much talent as a singer (or actress) and the public is over her music. |
