| I am not sure how elite a wedding venue is if it can be rented. |
Elite wedding to me = at a really nice house and/or family-owned property |
Elite weddings are not the same as expensive weddings. There is a difference. Any rich realtor in the DC area can splash out in a 100k+ wedding at say Meridian House or some other fancy wedding venue that anyone with cash can rent! It doesn’t exactly connote status. Meanwhile, an elite couple will marry somewhere more exclusive. A country club. At their summer home or family home at Martha’s Vineyard or Cape Cod. At an exclusive destination such as family property in Italy or English county side. An embassy or, in Naomi Biden’s case, the White House. |
| The elite have small ceremonies in their homes |
They used to prohibit social events but the policy changed a few years ago. The Kogod Courtyard is a spectacular venue. |
Yes. It’s sort of magical, but also a little small. And imo if you tent the courtyard, you lose the magic. It’s sort of a sunken courtyard. But if you don’t tent it, you need to all fit inside in case of bad weather. |
| The most elite weddings I have attended were at Greenwich yacht clubs. |

Shouldn’t the Musrum of Women in the Arts be re-opening soon? It’s been closed so long! I had my wedding there and it was awesome. You might want to call and see if they are booking weddings- they book 18mo ++ in advance
Union station is also beautiful, and I love the Sulgrave club though it’s kind of broken up into smallish rooms |

I went to one wedding at Women in the Arts and it was nice but too scattered. |
