Any rich realtor in the DC area can splash out in a 100k+ wedding at say Meridian House or some other fancy wedding venue that anyone with cash can rent! It doesn’t exactly connote status. Meanwhile, an elite couple will marry somewhere more exclusive. A country club. At their summer home or family home at Martha’s Vineyard or Cape Cod. At an exclusive destination such as family property in Italy or English county side. An embassy or, in Naomi Biden’s case, the White House.[/quote]
