As someone who has to deal with all of the traffic resulting from the building in Loudoun in the route 50 corridor, I hope everyone moves away.

No he can’t. Land has to be zoned residential to build. A farm is zoned agricultural. The farmer has posted a hundred times about how he’s had it put under conservation. Even if it was approved by the county to be rezoned to residential and split it’s many lots, the builder who he sells the land to makes most of the 400 mil.

the county would never approve it. they’re trying to prevent cluster developments in western loudoun and protect the prime agricultural soil there.

For the 30 billionth time, I am not saying that Aldie is more expensive than Bethesda/Arlington. Obviously, you get more house for your money out there. However, regardless of the difference in price per sq ft, the home prices and incomes are similar at the end of the day. The people may live in different types of homes, but demographically, they still align.

I’m not even a fan of Aldie and prefer Bethesda and Arlington to Aldie, but clearly other people with a lot of money feel differently because they’re moving out there.
