I agree. I was simply referencing the article and what his father said. Incredibly messed up thing to say. We know he was around pedophiles while on set and adults on would have inappropriate conversations with him. But it has always seemed he was close to his parents and they were protective of him. This bit about his dad suggests otherwise. It does give some insight into his background and why he seems to be a mess today.

All I know about him from his youth is that he lived with a group of other teen boy actors (mostly unsupervised) in an apartment in NYC including Tobey Maguire and they had a money manager and “friend” they hung out with named Dana Giacchetto. He stole money from them while partying with them. His whole life seems like a mess.

My opinion changed with his last relationship he first met Camila when she was 11 or 12 years old. Some articles say he was a family friend others it was a one time meeting and he never saw her again until a few years later at 19. She was 19 at the start of their relationship. At the very least it's weird for a man in his 40s to date a 19 year old. Then add in that he had knowledge of her as a child it's creepy.

What really clued me in was the Oscars interview where Julia Butters said she went to his house to practice how she patted his knee in their scene in the Tarantino movie.

In the original Nancy Jo Sales P Posse article (same woman Alexis Neiers famously called repeatedly during her Bling Ring incident) she basically says lots of young adult/late teen actors would hang out with Leo and do whatever he said referring to it as Leomania. In part it was in hopes of becoming famous by affiliation. The way she describes then running around sounds like Peter Pan and the lost boys but in NYC and with cash to burn. The article was written in the late 90s and even then women were trying to link themselves to Leo and claim they were dating him to boost their own fame including Vanessa Haydon who would later become Donald Trump Jr.’s first wife. It was confirmed in the article she never did date Leo but would tell everyone she did and before making her self look posh she was a “goth” in school. I found that funny.

He's deya womanizer. And I personally wouldn't care if it was just that no one is required to get married and settle down.

The issue I have is his very narrow interest in very young women

And the predatory/ grooming behavior mentioned in this thread.

Harassing a woman for not wanting to date you=bad

Dating someone you first met when they were a child and you an adult=bad

Dating women only of a certain age=bad

Messing with a married woman=bad

Tricking a woman into stripping for you =bad

Even if you argue that some of this was his friends and not him the arrow still points at him for not checking and dropping these people.

To sum up Leo is a great actor, not a great person and possibly even an evil one.
