Democrats in Utah voted to not have a nominee at their convention. Arizona democrats hate Sinema now- why would they defer to her like that?

If Democrats stood aside and let her run as an independent without a Democratic nominee it would be giving the seat to the Republicans. She’s not even that popular with independents and Democrats there hate her as an Arizonan PP upthread already pointed out.

Which is why the previous posters who said “she’s auditioning for her next corporate job” are absolutely correct. She doesn’t really have any friends left in Arizona, she’s just another DC swamp creature.

I wouldn’t be shocked if she ends up running AEI or Cato. It would be a fitting end.

Sinema did not do this out of some altruistic motive to abide by her conscience. She did it because her internal polling shows she will be crushed in the primary. Her only hope now is to run as an independent and scare the dems into not running a candidate that would split the vote.

Her resume screams chamber of commerce. She has socially acceptable views regarding gay marriage and abortion, and seems to hate taxes and business regulation
