It’s not even about controlling emotions, there are ways to express anger or hurt without violence and cussing out on live TV or otherwise.

I don’t know. Some women like that type of display. Not all but there are more than you think. I have seen women tell their boyfriend to beat so and so up because they disrespected me.

Have you ever been a server? Which gender is more likely to make special orders for their food (e.g. hold the x, place the y on the side, etc. etc.)? Which gender is more likely to complain about the food after it arrives?

In my experience, women do a lot more of this than men. I think that sort of pickiness translates to relationships as well.

Yes, Men typically have lower standards. For everything. Except their pleasure and pain.

Although I think over the course of history men have complained about food more than women.

Also don't women eat out more? For conversation? And men order what they want and have it delivered? Things like that? I don't think servers would have a job if it weren't for women.

Men want a women who can be an equal partner from first date to retirement in earning, saving, spending and investing. Anyone wanting men to pay for dates, ring, wedding, travel etc is a princess without royal inheritance.

And men are just as particular about their automobiles. DH parks in the back of the lot, no cars around us, so no possibility of a ding. Car is hand washed and waxed regularly. He complains if I leave a water bottle in the car and kids putting their feet on the back of my seat. But men are picky and fanatical about anything 🙄

Men will get over lack of money if you are reasonably cute, smart, and willing to prioritize them and their comfort. They will remain in thrall to you for eternity if you make them happy.

I don’t see this play out in the relationships around me, personally. The single people I know are all dating people that are near equals in terms of jobs, looks, lifestyle etc. I don’t know any men or women who have ridiculous standards

I am definitely in the camp of men who are happy on a fairly short list. Good company, loves sex, travel, and hopefully dogs.
