Literally the bank teller raised the alarm. He handed her the note, his ID, and asked if that was going to be OK. She said yes, acknowledging that his request was OK. He inserted his card into the chip reader and she started the transaction. If he had done anything wrong it never would have even gotten that far. She would have taken the note directly to her boss. Instead, she saw the alert on her screen and made a leap to assume this was a robbery.

I don't think so. If you watched the video of the incident you will see he does not consider himself having done anything wrong. He was doing exactly what he had done several times before. He was happy with whatever measures Bank of America took plus their apology and acknowledgment that he was not at fault. He has moved on in the 2 months that have gone by. Just because you are hearing about this for the first time does not mean he has to re-hash what is old news to him.
